Swimming is in the kindergarten curriculum for most developed countries, it's something that can be inculcated into the Nigerian curriculum in our nursery schools. This is the responsibility of government. The average Nigerian parent who is struggling to feed the kids properly cannot pay for swimming lessons, I wouldn't blame them.

Reminds me of Otanmiri River in FUTO. Eats students like fish. Thank God for borehole all around FUTO this days. Those days, If there's no water from water board, every students heads to Otanmiri to wash cloth and fetch some for use at the hostel... The river loves 3rd, 4th and final year students.

Please how true is this news , Emmanuel was my classmate in high school, we graduated , together.

It's such a pity that these young men died so young. God rest their souls and comfort the bereaved.

Having said that I must also say that the press release was not well written and is a disgrace to the writer, the ones that signed it and an institution like FUTA. Disappointed is saying it mildly. It should be edited/modified immediately although the internet is not born again, meaning that it neither forgives nor forgets.
