If I encountered that same type of post some 2 years back, I will say the same thing you just said. Whilst I will advise hopefuls to prepare hard, I will also advise them to take their mind off the recruitment process. What that guy said might be true. I have experienced a similar situation first hand twice, Same oil industry and even created a thread when I bumped into a similar post on Linkedin. Just chill, everything is possible especially in Nigeria.

Let me remind you, they advertised for many position because of the join venture they did, They have invited experience people before for interview and have taken some of them too. This is a trainee program. You are talking about an I.T student, I have a brother who is one of their MWDriller.

no, it is not possible to change a venue in lagos, I called their line below the mail, d only location u can change to is from lagos to PH

Talk with wisdom. I was invited but can't attend. I was only responding to someone who said others shouldn't attend.

They should be able to invite me and give me the job all the time not that I am young with MSc but I got grace.
