Reading Chinua Achebe account on Nigeria most historical civil war....... I came into one conclusion, the war was not suppose to be fought in the first place, both of the actors (Ojukwu and Gowon) were all acting childishly and the man(Gowon) acted exactly what the British and Most Fuedant Northern Actors wants. The Britons doesn't care if the entity go into total chaos since it doesn't affect their distant land and investment..same could be seen when Biafrans Captured some Europeans oil Miners during the war; the scenario that played out as written by Chinua achebe shows that this people are the major problem of this country, all they care is their business and doesn't care if a million Nigerias die.

This is 50 years after and we are still begging to go back to decision of Aburi accord that led to the war because it was dismissed and not honored....

Today millions in Nigeria Every decade dies wihile crossing the Atlantic to get to Europe, tribal conflicts and tribal overbearance has seen us witness more death than what has ever happened in the war.

There is no electricity to complement the federal goverment effort for over 50 years afther end of the war, the tree RRR( Reconstruction Reconciliation and Rehabilitation) is good as forgoten while we see the NDDC in place just after two to four years of Boko haram insurgence in the North.

All the players of the war has rotated powers over themselves and we have 90% of the players as billionaires and has also incharge of most of Nigeria resources. Which Major Danjuma who killed Aguiyi Ironsi and later Colonel Dimka as the richest of them all.

The North has controlled power for over 35yrs out of 50yrs and have seen most part of the North as poverty inclined not minding the power and control thier leaders wield in the center.

Our Military has been highly influence by Islamic and Northern standard due to endemic nepotism that befell it. The Police in it totality has turn to personal vendetta force use by elites to control their commons, they have also been reduced to personal task force, collecting money from people for their well being.

We have come to time in our history we the youth are left to finish their remains online with tribal bashing and corruption hailing. The media has now turn to a propaganda machine and the truth left to revealers to be arrested or treatend later.

The Wars of Boko haram and the Protest of So-called Old easterners ( Biafrans) has left the Army engaged in killing its own why trying repel those movement which their majority silently believes in.

We are the Cross road where the masses are scared of protest and speaking their mind through protest, instead we are faced with which group or tribe or political class/ party the conveners belongs to.


Some times am made to ask ...WHY DID GOWON FIGHT THE WAR IN THE FIRST PLACE ?

1.Is it to give full power to Northern Army?

2. To allow players feed from their effort? Which we have seen in the past 50yrs.

2. To make sure the Biafrans becomes part of suffering Nigerians in years latter ?

3. To Excite the Britons and make sure their Business is protected.

All this and other questions begs for answers..

Its simple, the North wanted to control the political and economic life of Nigeria. Thats the only thing they care about even to this day.

Yorubas and the Western Region was a 'walk over' for the North. Only the East under Ojukwu refused refuses to cow or bow down to the North.

Thats why there had to be a war. Only people with the heart to fight can confront the North
