hey bro ... forgive my curiosity.. you seem to know a lot about history.. and Ethiopian Christianity and the rest.. I'm curious to know.. how did you become an atheist? were you a Christian before? and how do you view things of the church in Ethiopia.. are they authentic to you or still plagiarized or formed.. thanks

I became none-believer because I was continuously exposed to science programs from early age. My parents were/are also socialist, so for them not to believe in God/gods have also affected me.

I was an Ethiopian Tewado Orthodox Christian, but I rarely went to church, so my Christian status was more or less nominal.

Christianity had been in Ethiopia as early as 1st century AD, but it became the official religion of Axumite Empire in 320s AD. So the Ethiopian Orthodox churches are very old and some ppl say that it's the most authentic Christianity in the world. I don't know much about the churches since I'm none-believer, but as far as my observation, it's seems Ancient and authentic compared to other Christian churches in the world.

Look, majority of the Ethiopians that are mentioned in the Bible and other Ancient texts ain't the present day Ethiopians. The original Ethiopians were Nubians and some Cushite ppl of the present day Horn of Africans(Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia and Djibouti) that lived in northern Sudan back then.

After King Ezana of Axumite conquered Mero(Kingdom in northern Sudan) in the 4th century AD, Axumite adopted the name "Ethiopia" for their territory and from that time on, the name "Ethiopia" started only to refer northern and central Ethiopia until the 19th century AD and all of the present Ethiopia territory from the 19th century AD till present.

There is no doubt that some of the descendants of present day Ethiopians were original Ethiopians, but the great Ethiopia history of Nubians and other black Africans are't being known by majority of Africans and other ppl. This awareness needs to be exposed to Africans and they should feel entitle that the the great pre-4th century AD history of Ethiopia is also theirs.

Ethiopia is a Greek word which means "burnt face or black face".
