[ POEM ] SWEET MOTHER by Oluwamayowa Ft OmoOLa

Nine months of pains and torture
Took away your social life and culture
Yet you loved me no less
Deprived you of night rests
Yet you never gave up on me
What a weird fellow
Feeding through fluid:had no clue
Bounded with you:love was the glue
Every single meal was shared
Back to back I know you cared


A night came,made you go through a lot of pains
You must have been familiar with the phrase:
No pain No gain
Cos even though you haven't seen me
You were determined to wait for me
My arrival was accompanied with pains
But then you pushed through
My cries finally put a smile on your face
Finally it's over you said
But in my fresh mind I laughed
Knowing twas just the beginning

Day after Day, my cries became your alarm
Ringing and racing into your heart
Reluctant to stand up but had no choice
Because I became your priority
Your love for me grew stronger
Unconditionally and truthfully
Love is blind I heard
Love is true you said
Because to me:
You are an example

Growing up
Your discomfort was my comfortability
Yet you never minded
All the way,your love never ceased
How great could that be?
So I've made my mind up
I promise to repay you for everything
So sweet mother;
Stay alive to get compensated
Because you are worth repaying
