Please house I need help. Just ended a call with Axa Mansard in regards with travel insurance for 6months as requested by the embassy and the peeps are saying student insurance is 88k and the ordinary one is for 23k. Abeg those that have done which one did you use and what price cos I don't have 88k and I see no use for it since I will still register for health insurance once I land Germany.

Ok. Thank you. I hope you are already in Canny?
.........
Here is the backstory.
Same Syrians are moving to Canada...fact
Canada student visa has become very unfriendly.
It is much costlier to fund Canada studies

After study stay may be more attractive in Canada but who says one cannot migrate from Germany to Canny?

Nothing is set in stone. Unless you are handing out Canadian student visa with free tuition fees, allow folks to decide for themselves.

nice reply from you here uncle judax. What I just know is that each and everyone has his or her choice of school to choose.

Hell naw! That's way too much money. If you go to that road leading to the German embassy, the one where they do printing and passport and all that, you'll see where they came can do travel insurance for 15-25 thousands naira. Don't mind those yeye people.

thanks for your reply here. I really appreciate your prompt reply. Well I still need more clarification on the lump sum block account. what of those that applied via Daad.de and found tuition free schools and applied. Pls am asking are they going to tender the lump sum block account of 8640 euros? Why am asking is that some schools only ask to pay for feeding and accomodation. I still need more explanation thanks. Honorobleseyi please I really need more of your reply here. Me and other new comers doesn't understand about it thanks. God bless.

We don't want fight. I strongly believe we are mature here to handle things well. It is German Embassy fault that caused it. We all have to plea to them and do the needful.

Oga this question has been answered one million times. Aren't most of us going to tuition free schools? The €8640 is for accommodation and feeding among other things things.

@Mr. Johnnyessence
As far as German Student VISA is concerned. Even if you ain't paying a dime (Tuition Fee, Semester Fee e.t.c) to the school, you still have to

prove that you have enough money to feed and accommodate yourself for a year (which is the 8640 euros).

Or you ask one of your family member that you have in Germo to help you apply for a Sponsorship Letter (verpflichtungserklärung) @ their

Allien/Administrative Office.

Or you secure a Scholarship Letter from an EU/Germo Organization.

NOTE: Both the Sponsorship Letter & Scholarship Letter issuer will be responsible for what ever fee you are required to pay in Germany. Be it

Feeding, Accomodation, Tuition fee. That's if stated in your Scholarship Letter. e.t.c.

E.g. My Scholarship covers Cost of Travel, Health Insurance, Tuition Fee, Accommodation, & Monthly Stipend

The point of the whole story is Everyone (student) who wants to obtain a Student VISA must show either

Deut Block Account with 8640 Euros

Sponsorship Letter
Or
Scholarship Letter

So it does not matter whether you are paying tuition fee or not. I hope you will understand all this long story you make me type.

I will flog you if you ask us this question again oo undecided

Why did you choose the course when you know that it will be useless to you?

In Europe Or in the developed world, no course is useless. Every course in Instituted base on the need (Not like Nigeria) to solve a particular

problem or to Research more on that particular area of study.

Do most of you guys consider the political climate before you decide where to study. I mean, this year alone one million syrians (most highly educated, skill individual, and syrians are generally better educated than sub sahara africa) arrived. They all need jobs. Secondly africans have bad reputation in germany ( sadly I can not disagree with this assumption) worse than all rapist arabs. Germany has no time for africans. You have a better chance in canada than germany.
please and please each and everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion well you may like canada why some may not. This life is of choice. Both syrians are going to canada too. For more correction Germany has huge time for africans if you don't know. You have to google it out and find out some details about them. Thanks.

I don't really understand your question
Studienkollegs have different application period for winter and summer semesters
I think that of summer is closed now. You just have to find their websites and check

@Johnnyessence please all that are affected should bombard them with emails oo,, its very disheartening for someone to undergo the stress of admission and the expenses involved , and after just to be told that the dreams will die off just like that, because the embassy cannot schedule appointment when we all know that its not prospective student's fault on when the admission status/results are released.... If there is quota to the number of Nigerian students they can accommodate in any given semester then that should be made public for for Nigerians and the whole world to know, other than that its not a enough reason to deny people the opportunity of pursuing their academic dreams.... Those that are affected we stand with you and pray that a positive solution will come in time... Never give up on your dreams guys...... We will achieve our goals, fulfil our heart desires and dream come through to all who believe Amen...
