In the case of africa, illiteracy keeps rising every day and the government don't wanna do anything about it. If we tackle illiteracy I am sure Africa would especially Nigeria would change.

We have a victim mentality. We want to be saved by our white overlords rather than taking our own destiny into our hands.
Aid and any other help whatsoever the white man grants Nigeria is out of benevolence. They don't owe us anything and the sooner we realise that the better for us.

To answer your question Onila, it is because America is a melting pot. The achievements of America are not that of white men, but of the various immigrants who have bore fruit in the country. If you look at those who hold the STEM positions in America, the majority ARE NOT white.
