Dora rejects Aondoakaa's apology

The Minister of information and communication, Dora Akunyili has rejected the apology from the minister of Special duties, Michael Aondoakaa, requesting that the latter makes his apology formal and publish same in the media within the next seven days of face legal actions.

After two weeks of grandstanding, Mr. Aondoakaa on Wednesday apologised to Mrs. Akunyili, over his comments about her time at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control.

In a report by The Nation newspaper on February 8, Mr. Aondokaa allegedly accused Mrs. Akunyili of trying to make herself an angel and a cheap hero who wants to be seen as a populist. "Let her go confront herself with what happened in NAFDAC," the former Attorney General of the Federation and minister of Justice was quoted to have said.

The development is a fallout of Mrs. Akunyili's position during a meeting by the Executive Council of the Federation.

At the meeting Mrs. Akunyili had presented a memo on the need for the Executive Council to do the right thing as regards the president's health, to the annoyance of some ministers including Mr. Aondokaa, who said she did not follow due process.

How many people would want an employee that will fight for your interest should you be incapacitated?  Aondoakaa showed a trait that is uncommon, loyalty. The only problem was how he went about it, he went way overboard and did not use a lot of intelligence.

Exactly my view too. Aondoakaa was not apologetic in that letter and he definitely lied about what he actually meant. He's been a marvellous liar all along.

Aondoakaa needs some more humiliation, more than his demotion has done to him.

i really wonder what is wrong with pple.our special duties minister went to the pages of newspaper to yarn opata against Dora and wants to apologise with a "my dear sister" letter .let the truth be told,wether u hate the woman or not,wether she did a poor job at NAFDAC or not,as long as Andooka or whatever his name is cant prove any wrong doing on the madams part,he should do the honourable thing by going bck to the same papers and offering his apologies.assuming that this case is the other way round,do u peeps think that Aandooka woulda let Dora free so easily? if u want to hate,atleast use ur flea-bitten brains.
