AutoCAD P&ID is a drafting program that helps you to create P&ID drawings easily and with a minimum of training. AutoCAD P&ID enables productivity gains of up to 60% compared to 2D drafting methodologies, but like most modern software, it pays great dividends to ensure you build a solid foundation of knowledge that you can further enhance to get the most out of the software as you become more practised and familiar with the core functionality. A P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) displays the connections between the equipments of a process and the instrumentation controlling the process. A P&ID is created using standard symbols.

Course objectives:

The primary objective of this 4 day AutoCAD P&ID training course is for the student to learn the essential areas of AutoCAD P&ID and through hands on exercises, gain competence with the use of AutoCAD P&ID and its abilities. The class is intended for users who have a need for generating Piping and Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) or Process Flow diagrams (PFD). This class can be taken by either draftsmen or process engineers who have the need to quickly draw a P&ID or PFD.After completing this course, students will be able to:

Create simplified steel structures.
Create and place equipment
Connect equipment with pipe lines.
Add inline components like valves, reducers and pipe fittings.
Tag and annotate the piping and inline components.
Create isometric drawings
Create orthographic drawings
Import and export data to Microsoft Excel.
Validate the generated 3D Piping Design.
