 Long Beach Police have agreed to pay a Muslim woman N31 million for forcefully removing her hijab The force is to pay $85,000 ( about N31 million ) to settle a lawsuit that accused its police officers of stripping a Muslim woman of her hijab The woman was allegedly stripped of her hijab during an arrest. This made to her spend a nightin jail without it. According to a report by Instablog, male police officers forcibly removed Kirsty Powell’s head covering. This was when they took her into custody in 2015. She had explained she wore it as part of her religious beliefs but they still took it off. I really don't understand what some people's problem is with the hijab. Is it being used on your head or your children's heads? So what's the deal? A woman is free to wear see through clothes, pants and bra in the name of bikini, and any crazy cloth she deems fit but people have issues with one that decides to cover her head.
