that was actually meant for the person that quoted the guy not you, I guess should have quoted the two of you, its in saying that the dude is the chief statistician so he can say anything to defend his figures

That's a good point you raised now, but remember his figures will be a house of cards if any data has been "cooked".

I went straight to the methodology wondering how they could miraculously get data on bribery and corruption because if it's calculable, then it's traceable and people should go to jail. However, it was entirely based on interviews.

Surely, people would tell the truth only for low level bribes. So, this is a very rough minimum value estimate at best. They should have included some form of indices for veracity of interview reports based on matching information from interviews in the same field.

NBS is not talking about the massive corruption ongoing in the Military... Personally I believe the Nigeria Military is very corrupt more than the police but because they don't deal directly with common citizen that's why their corruption incidence is under-reported and underestimated...

The military could have comfortably win the war against Boko Haram if they only aren't corrupt

Any country that have a corrupt police and military is on a self destruction mission

You are still trying to be clever by half. offcourse the term stealing is different from corruption. Look at this bribery taking report, these indices are clearly a case of corruption and not stealing. That debate shouldn't even be up at this stage.

it is the job of the NBS to churn out data and it will be silly of citizens to try to water down this damning report by seeking to condition the minds of people.

Let's begin to act objective at all times.

Bro what am against is you saying that the fight against corruption is a sham, I agree there is corruption in the system and its not the making of this administration for corruption to get to this extend, if there was something to compare against then am sure we would have been able to tell the difference but as it is we at least have something to compare to with time

Prof. Itse Sagay, Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Anti-Corruption, however, described the report as vague, saying he could not comment on it.

These Crazy people are always ready to defend their DORMANT ADMINISTRATION, and later they will be mentioning WAR AGAIST CORRUPTION as part of their ACHIEVEMENT.
Did you take time to read the report at all. This report is more of speculation than reality. They said, the bribes were given in cash. How do they know the amount given and when the person was to give it. There's no place they mentioned money routed through banks or any financial institution. This is more than vague but malicious. Money given in cash without passing through financial institution or under surveillance cannot be known by anti-graft agencies. The government had tried by introducing whistle blower policy. If huge money is exchanging hands and no one blow it, is it FG problem?

more than 200m Nigerians exchange less than 400b naira as bribe.
Which is the lowest in the history of Nigeria. Which make Nigeria to be rank 28th most corrupt nation in the world.
In the era of PDP for 16yrs, Nigeria were rank 2nd.
Only 2.6tr naira oil subsidy is enough to make you faint

pls read you comment again and see how incoherent you are.at one point you included yourself as among "over 200 million citizens that shared #4billion naira" and celebrated yourself as 28th corrupt in the world.
in the same statement you know said under the PDP that Nigeria which includes you again was so deep in bribes that you were ranked 2nd in the world.
and it is assumed that you read the op post

Its not about this administration, its about the Nigerian system the administration is trying to curb it but its not going to be an easy task, the report was from May 2015-May 2016 so it started even before this administration came into power and have we seen previous reports ? NO because at that time it was not a crime
If the report starts from May 2015 then how could it have started before this government? From May 2015 - May 2016 is 13 months. Are you trying to give the usual excuse of "blame GEJ''
