1, The idea of Zoning is a NATURAL consequence of Culture, Trading and Interest. It is a Legitimacy that is not even necessary to constitutionalise.
2, Let us not destroy the many Progress we have made so far by misconceived politiking and different interpretation of a common English word, Restructure.
3, We already have Nigeria by Royal Charter for Nigerians only. This is a Plus, a Progress and a real Value to be appreciated by all Nigerians. Lord Lugard who made this possible probably thought he had handed over a Miracle to Nigerians on a Platter.
4, BAZ(Bello, Awo, Zik) got Independence for Nigeria also by Royal Charter. This is a Progress, a Plus and a Value like Gold that should not be discarded anyhow.
5, Our Military, to all intents and purposes, and with God's Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding skilfully crafted Nigeria into 36 administrative Centres. Kudos to our Military as this is an excellent Progress, a Plus and Value to make Nigeria move forward in a healthy and progressive competition.
6, The 1979 and 1999 Constitutions were written basically in a Military fashion to enable Mr. President and Commander in Chiefs of the Armed Forces, control Nigeria and Nigerians, irrespective of Democracy and Religious Status with Domineering Grip from The Presidency down to the Grassroots. This was a Trial and Error Step taken by the Military and the only negative and corruption ridden experiment made in this Democracy.
7, Let us therefore build on the Progess and Values made so far. Let us not scheme on some ill-conceived Unitary system that may in the end tear Nigeria miserably into pieces.
We should build on the 36 States Structure by making them responsible for the exploitation of their Lands and Waters.
Let them allocate their Lands and Waters to the highest bidders for whatever purpose and collect Rents, Rates and Taxes as they please.
8, As I said in paragraph one above, groupings and further groupings of States and zoning are natural human interactions that are usually based on proximity, trade, language and interest. We don't enforce zoning. They come naturally. But the 36 States must be made fully autonomous now.
9, Statism is a Law!
Nigeria, a Composite State, was created by Royal Charter!
Nigeria was independent by Royal Charter!
The 36 States were created by The Nigerian Constitution!
So, all we are saying is to use same constitution to consolidate the 36 States into Fully Autonomous Productivity, Costs and Incomes Centres of Excellence.
10, APC did not win the 2015 Election because they did not want Restructuring.
Restructuring is a LATENT AND NECESSARY Value Nigerians want as a way out of the current plaguing Recession.
God bless NASS, State Assemblies, NJC, Political Parties and The Presidency!!!!

Building our 36 States into "Productivity, Costs and Incomes State Centres" can never rob Nigeria of Unity and FG. It will in fact strengthen the Unity of Nigeria that we all love so much. And will make the Grassroots local Governments in every State WORK HARDER FOR THEIR EARNINGS!!!
