No 'Google French' allowed, please!

Google? lol - I took french for 5 years. When you use singular, you have to change the a to de

5 years? Félicitations !
Whoever told you that 5 years of French (elective) lessons at school is enough to be an authority in French?

The standard French expression for "I have a headache" is J'ai mal à la tête. Dunno whatever you're talking about singular and plural here. J'ai un mal de tete is, at best, a transliteration (direct literal translation from the English statement) and at worst, pigdin French (like some speak in Cameroun).

Go and learn the rules.

BTW, I just paid a visit to Google's Language Tools page, and guess what? I'm sure you already know: it gave me the same transliteration you put up here after 5 good years of learning French (on Google)!
