Is it a new phone or the problem came up after using it for some time. Factory reset should solve it. Had a similar issue with hot 4 I bought (read ordered) for somebody last year. The issue was one couldn't see new messages. A factory reset solved the problem. Cheers

You are the only one having this issue oh. If you bought it from a reputable store, why not take iy back to them to find out the problem. Also i hope its not a Hot 5 clone.

I bought the 1gb variant with fingerprint for 35k here in Katsina state yesterday.

The only issue I've had with this hot 5 is memory management.
If I delete a 2gb file from my mmc or internal storage, it will take like 3 hrs for the phone to update the storage that the file has been deleted(it can still be showing memory full in that period )

Another issue I have is how the heck did they partition the 16gb ROM?
The gave the internal storage about 8gb and the device storage 8gb too. But if my internal storage is full, I can't install apps?
Shouldn't they have partitioned a special internal memory for installing apps like all those other android devices?

sometimes copy phones have the problems you mentioned especially memory the will write 16gb but actually it's 8gb or less
u hv to be vary carefully during buying phone anything is possible in nigeria. you hv to make factory reset may b it will ok

Download any firewall app and you use it to block any application connecting to your network except the one you want to connect. I use No root firewall app.. Works fine for me.
