The Lagos state custom command has intercepted 1,100 firearms that is been smuggled into the country at Tin-Can Island, in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Nigeria Custom Service spokesperson, Joseph Attah, revealed that the weapons, pump action rifles, were imported from Turkey

Attah told TheCable journalist that, “We have seized 1,100 weapons at Lagos port and they came from Turkey.

“A custom officer, who is a suspect according to our investigations has been arrested, also A Clerk there (at the Tin-Can Island command) has been apprehended as well.”
