My brother, I took a look at the stances and just smh. Let these guy ask the martial arts greatest actors how long they spent training in their martial disciplines and understand what it takes.

True bro. That their horse stance is very laughable. Looks like you're a martial artist?

From the pics I've seen it's already a joke. The Nollywood I know cannot sacrifice the much needed finances to produce martial arts movies. Any actor or actress can't just wake up any day and start acting martial arts movies. You must be a martial artist to act martial arts movies.
WRONG You don't need to be a martial artist. Just good stunt men & choreographers with a really good director

Really Who martial art has helped so far?
Actually a lot of people really will tell you that M.As helped on the journey through life, myself with with 23 years of studying and practising M.As,it has helped with my health, mental focus and general well being.
It has produced countless millionaires in film and sport e.g Jackie chan,Donnie yen,jet li,jcvd, chuck Norris,Dolph ludgren,Wesley snipes to name a few in film, the likes of conor McGregor, braukaw, seanchai,GSP,jimi manuwa,Jason njokuani, teddy reiner,MVP to name a few in sport.
That said, this movies looks like the generic representation of martial arts, based on the Asian formula.hope he manages to portray a realistic and acceptable storyline.more grease to his elbow.

Go and Google about all the martial arts actors and actresses in the world and know that all of them are real martial artists. Performing stunts is not the same as martial arts. And choreography only comes to play when the actors can perform the exact type of kick needed. Choreography is used to make the kicks fast and fascinating to those watching it. A person who is just a stunt man without any form of martial arts training cannot perform even the simplest kicks in martial arts (e.g front kick and roundhouse kick) because they may not possess the flexibility needed to execute such kicks.

Go and read about these actors and see that they all started practising martial arts from childhood, many of them with black belt.

Correction, chow yun fat is a thespian not a martial artist, please check, and martial arts for the screen is a totally different ball game from real martial arts (combat).

Yes some action stars are trained in one/more martial arts discipline.
But a lot of actors have delivered stellar action scenes in movies with basic boot camp training and a good stunt team.
Tom Cruise,
Rebecca Ferguson
Lucy Liu,
Drew Barrymore,
Cameron Diaz,
Uma Thurman,
Kate Beckinsale,
Ben Affleck,
Anne Hathaway,

Actually, you're the one that needs to do a lot of Googling.
Choreography is the layout of the fight scene. Otherwise, you end up with a horrible mess. It's the choreographer that sets up those awesome set pieces that make you jump from your seat.
Any stuntman on the set of a martial arts movie definitely has to have extensive training in the required discipline. You can't be making a movie that requires Jiu-jitsu stunts and hire Wing Chun stuntmen. Stuntmen are the backbone of every action scene, so they're hired almost as meticulously as the lead actors
