Well Onwan helpfully translated it for you yesterday until his liver failed him into editing his post to a pathetic "lets stick to the thread" crap he later posted.

And if you must know, he said i called you an idiot, and i add dunce, dundee United and dumbo to it, now what u gonna do, lol.

Anyway Atise has thrown down the gauntlet and called you someone he finds repulsive and reprehensible . . .

I spent like 100 hours racking my brain to find out who he meant by the "someone" until i had a brainwave that it had to be you since it was your post he quoted. Abeg no shoot me, na ordinary messenger i be, lol.

Insurance companies in the US do not buy parts or repair any accidented car. They simple send it to the nearest
Approved Collision Center (ACC) in your area and they will send them quote. If the cost of repair is really close
to the Actual Cost Value (ACV), they will pay the insured owner off and send the car to auto auction for sell.

The interesting part is that most ACCs in the US hires hispanics for cheap labour - $10 per hour, and in turn charge
insurance companies $150 per hour to repair the cars, thats why insurance companies prefer to write off large
percentage of the salvage vehicles.

I paid $35,000 for my first brand new SUV in the US and it took me 5 years to pay it off, while my brother bought the
same SUV the same year with 8000 miles for $17500 at the Copart auto auction. Both cars runs and drive just fine.

Since then I have promised my self to always buy clean cars from auction and save my cash for other things like 60"
LCD TV and the likes grin. The point is, if the salvage car does not have frame damage, is not rollover or is not extremely
damaged, trust me I know some chinese guys here in Dallas, Texas that will make it look and feel like its just coming
from the manufacturer.

Even if you can afford the brand new BMW for 10 Million, buy one for 3 Million and fix it with 1 Million, then donate I Million
to charity from the rest that you've saved. Trust me the more you give back the more blessing you'll count in your life.

Its so unfortunate that we are in a country where honesty is taking as stupidity!!! Talking about accidented cars,at times i wont blame the dealers that do such,am not saying its proper, but naija people like cheap commodity,to meet the demand of such buyers then people start cutting corners to please such buyers,my take is if cars re too cheap you should ask yourself very sincere Questions about what you re buying.
Re: Nigerians Should Say No To Accidented Cars by femmy2010(m): 6:01am On Nov 13, 2010
Pple hardly ever get sincere with themself.
Re: Nigerians Should Say No To Accidented Cars by GeorgeD1(m): 3:39pm On Nov 13, 2010
raw,
i think you have a point there as long as the dealer is sincere enough to tell the prospective buyer exactly what tittle the car came with.

I remember my boss embarrassing on what u've just mentioned several time on this same topic.
It's not all salvaged cars that are bad and not all clean title cars are that good.
Just check the car especially the pictures from the auction itself.
Re: Nigerians Should Say No To Accidented Cars by baconline(m): 10:27pm On Nov 13, 2010
Well I sell a lot of salvage, believe me when i tell u that u will never know!!!!!!!!But as usual I will tell, except I am not there when the sale is made.I personally supervise the rebuild(I am mechanically inclined). No rear hits, prefer middle side hit,and frontal hit, Any chassis damage,I will run from.Nigerias prefer cheap things,so if u wanna be in business meet that demand!!!
Re: Nigerians Should Say No To Accidented Cars by bfire(m): 3:25am On Nov 14, 2010
I let you guys in on one secret you may consider.
Most of the accidental vehicles were been driven when the accident occurred ( that's the car is good and more than 90% of cars on the road in North America falls in this category; they passed safety and emission). What's significant is not to buy a frame damaged car.
Few of the auction that are not accidental are either have one mechanical problem or the other ( unless it is guaranteed/warranted). Some people can't afford that.
Re: Nigerians Should Say No To Accidented Cars by GeorgeD1(m): 4:14pm On Nov 17, 2010
baconline,
it still boils down to full disclosure on the part of the seller. you owe it a duty to your buyer to let him know what type of car he's buying-cheap or not.
Re: Nigerians Should Say No To Accidented Cars by baconline(m): 7:11pm On Nov 17, 2010
Exactly,All cars I have displayed in this forum,I have clearly stated if they are salvages or clean title

I really dont understand the rationale behind my country people buying scrap cars and selling thesame @ high price to unsuspecting Nigerians.
I think there should be a general campaign against selling/buying accidented cars.
Believe me, in my quest on getting a new car, i've come across alot of accidented cars. Does anything actually work in this country?. You see, even those outside the country are not making it better.

Even if the whole country drop their money on such cars, i surely wouldnt add/drop my hard earned money on that. And i believe any sane person shouldnt.
Maybe if we stop buying their scrap, they may be forced/pushed to start sending good cars down here.
N1.5m-N2.0m is equivalent to $10,000-$13,500, which is alot of money by any standard in the world. That kind of money shouldnt go into buying scrap.

Nice one that I"m just seeing this thread. This thread https://www.nairaland.com/5132221/non-accidented-cars-vehicles-lets-see I started for the same cause seems to be working.

Please check it out! !!

Re: Nigerians Should Say No To Accidented Cars by legalwealth(m): 2:46pm On Oct 29, 2019
As per your topic, please change it to badly accidented cars instead of accidented cars.

Slightly reasonable accidented cars are not bad because not every Nigerian can afford or spend on buying clean title(non salvage or non accidented) cars.
