Sitting down with some of my people
Somewhere in the busy streets
After work, I see the people
To home they trudge, they retreat

Their faces covered with sweat and grime
The places from where they've spent time
Only to make a naira and a kobo
Some have to become like the hobo

Make way for the man
Make way for the man!
Lest he bump and strike you
With his headpan

He sights from afar his abode
He can't even smile enough
Sufficient for the day, I was told
Is the burden and evil thereof

"Comfort and Rest where have you been?
To London to visit the Queen?
I need you now and always my dears
Buffet my days in the coming years"
