A leading transport company in Lagos State requires the services of Auto Mechanics, Auto Electricians, and AC Technicians with proven ability to work on Heavy Duty vehicles according to stringent best-practice standards. The right candidates will ensure all activities are carried out on time and at an exceptional standard.

Applicants should have:
• at least two years’ experience on the job
• a proven ability in heavy duty repairs and fault diagnostics
• familiarity with excellent standards of quality control
• experience of keeping accurate records
• excellent communication skills.

DUTIES OF AN HEAVY DUTY AUTO MECHANIC
• Diagnoses, repairs and overhauls engines.
• Performs tune ups, brake jobs and other preventative maintenance on the buses.
• Replaces common parts and makes adjustments.
• Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.
• Repairs or replaces parts, such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings, using mechanic's hand tools.

DUTIES OF AN HEAVY DUTY AUTO A.C TECHNICIAN
• Install air conditioning systems.
• Testing air conditioning systems proper functioning.
• Performing emergency repairs when the need arises.
• Maintain tools and making routine adjustments to maximize operational efficiency.
• Welds or bolts mounting brackets to automobile frame where needed.
• Drills holes through interior panels, threads hoses through holes and connects hoses to compressor, evaporator, and cool-air outlet.
• Fills compressor with refrigerant and starts unit.
• Measures compressor pressure to determine efficiency of compressor, using gauge.
• Listens to operating unit for indications of malfunction.
• Removes faulty units from vehicles, disassembles them, and replaces worn and broken parts and fluid in unit.
• Makes electrical connections as required.
• All other duties as assigned.

DUTIES OF AN HEAVY DUTY AUTO-ELECTRICIAN
• Troubleshoot electrical problems in the vehicles
• Install, repair, wire, and maintain of all electrical components found in the vehicles.
• Troubleshoots and repair parts and equipment when needed
• Install electrical equipment such as gauges, lighting, alternators, and starters in the vehicles.
• Diagnose problems with the major electrical systems in the vehicles, including the battery, the ignition, the electronic fuel injection, anti- lock braking, cruise control, fixtures and general wiring.
• Test instruments and read circuit diagrams to find electrical faults, adjust engine control systems and timing to make sure vehicles are running at peak performance.
• Rewind motors and electronic wiring.
• All other duties as assigned by the superior.
