Hatred On Igbos A Wasted Effort And Time For The Yoruba by Nobody: 1:44pm On Sep 21, 2017
Greetings, my fellow Nairalanders.

I hope this piece hit FP.OP.

Now let's reason together and think about my counter views on Igbo bashing as expressed below.

Before you stone the Igbos, ask yourself, did the Igbos put guns on anybody's head before buying up Alaba, Ajegunle, isolo, festac, ago palaceway, ikotun, Apapa and Oshodi in Lagos.

Did they use juju before the Ibadan surrendered Iwo Road to them?

And what were we looking at before the Igbos took over Isida and Adeti in Ilesa.

Where were the YORUBAS when the Igbos thrived and built 90% of the Hotels at Abuja. Was there a law that excluded the YORUBAS from selling building materials? Dei Dei building materials market in Abuja is 90 % Igbo owned.

So the more we point one finger at the Igbos, the more we have the other four fingers pointing at our laziness and lack of initiative as a society.

The YORUBAS should have been better with all our education, but we may be worse that the Fulanis who just roam around the bush.

Why? Because we lack the entrepreneurship spirit. We just want salaries from doing 8am to 5pm job. We proceed in foolishness and we persist in hoping to reap plenty without showing hard. The Igbos are different, hence we are now jealous and envious.

We love wasteful parties and Aso Ebi. Just a little business without even making any profit yet, we usually call musicians to spay money like coffetti .

Where are all the Board Members of Ebenezer Obey today? Where is lawyer Omoyinmi and Lanre Badmus? Where is Oroki Social Club of Osogbo? Where is Felates of Ilesa and the likes whose trade mark was to bring Sunny Ade to Ilesa every Xmas, to waste all income gathered for the year?

The Yoruba society wasted their leading lights on excessive consumption and wasteful attitudes. We wasted our capital on frivolous social gatherings.

We took religion to ridicoulous levels, such that the wealthiest pastors and churches are now Yorubas. But all the wealth extracted by the churches from the Yoruba nation is also merely flaunted to show who's God is the most miraculous.

So we have become paupers and destitutes, as the Yoruba nation cannot now pay salaries. Pensions are owed for years.

Tell me, is Osun State filled with human beings or goats to have tolerated Aregbesola, when they rejected Akande. Say it loud, is the Constituted Authority of Ibadan sane to just bring about 21 Obas from nowhere to receive salaries, where there is no money to reopen Ladoja Akintola University?

Are the Ondos so wise to have allowed Mimiko to devastate their terrain as to be now saddled with 12 months salary arrears? What of Ekiti with rabble rousing Fayose and the intellectually arrogant Fayemi?

Even Lagos, there is nothing to write home about it, despite all the hype.

But the Igbos are hard workers. Let us not continue to deceive ourselves. 20 of their young boys can live in the shop from where they sell goods, after some years they will take over and become big boys even here in Lagos and in their father land! There is no place too dirty or remote for them to hibernate and incubate their ideas. Give them 5 years, you will see them buy and take over all shops and lands.

True, some of them are criminals which is not different from other tribes the Yoruba and hausas! but majority of the Igbo youths build and build physical structures away, while the YORUBAS are content with looking for salaried jobs, so that they can have siesta in the afternoons and then attend parties on Saturdays. Then spend Sundays in church wishing and praying for divine miracles.

How foolish? How many yorubas are in Igbo land hustling? How many of our youths can boast of having their own house at the age of 35? Huh? as the Igbo people are meeting and strategizing on Sunday, so that they can gather money and come and buy the houses and lands owned by our Yoruba fathers.

Whether we like it or not, Obokungbusi Town Hall will soon be on concessional PPP sale. The Igbos will buy it. The proceeds will be used to pay backlog of salaries owed to impoverished Ijeshas. It will come willy nilly.

It will happen even in a declared Oduduwa Republic. Afterall, the Chinese, the Lebanese and the South Africans are buying us out with reckless abandon. See how ShopRite is buying up everywhere. I heard that they bought Owena Motel estate in Akure. How come we did not sell it to the Igbos?

We shall continue to grumble and hate the Igbos until eternity. Unless we spy on them, copy their ways and imbibe their can do attitude. They are lovely people and they are willing to carry you along in successful business if only we can embrace love and stop unnecessary hatred!

The Yoruba nation and society have been pauperised and destituted. In desperation, we shall soon start to behave like the Almajiris' in the North.

In grinding poverty and out of jealousy, the Almajiris of the North regularly loot Igbo shops and businesses. Very soon Yoruba urchins will start looting too to show that they hate the Igbos.

Even some of us here will defend it to show our hatred for the Igbos. Whereas, the looting is as a result of hunger and uselessness of our society.

How sad for the Yoruba Nation.

By allowing the Igbo to become millionaires on their land shows the magnanimity and openness of the Yoruba. How many yoruba or hausas have made 10% of that money from Igbo land? Is this not telling enough that no one hates Igbos?

What hatred, you guys and your victim mentality, read below and get educated…. When will a Yoruba man becomes Senetor, LGA Chairman, councillor in igbo land.... Please who hates who
Igbo And Nigeria: Scathing Review Yet Apt. by GoldNiagara(m): 7:33am
Copied from Babatunde Jose, Esq.
IGBOS AND NIGERIANS: In their confusion, infusion and frustration arising from pride and over estimation of themselves leading them to a series of saboteur maniac syndromes.

Igbos broadly divided other Nigerians into three broad categories. Those they hate, those they deride and those they fear. Those they hate are the yorubas whom they call traitors, tribalists and cowards. Yet no race in Nigeria have been more tribal than the lbos.

There are historical facts to prove this. If something is ten and igbos are not allowed to take 15, so that the rest of us can share minus 5, lgbos will cry marginalisation and label the rest us tribalists. However there is no race in this country that have been more accommodating of the lgbos than the Yorubas, there is no single igbo leader that did not grow up in the South West or is a beneficiary of Yoruba largesse.

Zik went to CMS GRAMMAR SCHOOL, Adolphus wabara went to AHMADIYA COLLEGE AGEGE, Ken Nnamani went to LOYOLA COLLEGE IBADAN, Ojukwu and Ekwueme went to KINGS COLLEGE, Okpara went to YABA TECH while Phillip Emegwali went to AQUINAS COLLEGE, AKURE. Even my brother Anadu went to IMADE COLLEGE OWO etc All major Igbo politicians cut their political teeth in the West. Their major religious leaders cannot thrive outside the West. Pastor Muoka, Pastor Ezekiel of Four Square and Okonkwo of TREM are examples.

I remember that after the civil WAR, Igbos who came back to ILE IFE were allowed TUITION FREE while the YORUBAS in NSUKKA were rusticated. Example is Pastor Adeboye. Yet lgbos reserve their greatest hatred for the Yorubas for reasons being that the yorubas refused to be dominated by the lbos to confront the North.

As to the label of cowardice, had there been any war between the yorubas and the lbos in which the lbos defeated the Yorubas? In the whole ancestral history of Ndigbo, which war has the forefathers or great forefathers fought? Any empire in their history? Yet the yorubas have worsted the lgbos four times in the political history of Nigeria.

As to the label of treachery, had there been any agreement the yorubas signed with the lbos and they reneged? The answer is no. Yet the yorubas have records of Igbo treachery on the two occasions they formed alliance with them. In 1964 to fight the federal election, the yorubas formed an Alliance called UPGA with the Ibos to be led by Okpara because major Yoruba leaders were in jail. There was an agreement that the election must be boycotted. The Igbos sabotaged it, went and contested election while the West kept to the agreement.

In 1979 the West went into alliance with the lbos and formed PPA - PROGRESSIVE PEOPLE ALLIANCE. Again Igbo sabotaged it so that they can produce Speaker house of Representatives. Who then is traitor? The second category are the Eastern minorities made up of present Rivers, Akwa lbom, Cross Rivers and Bayelsa. The igbos see them as subhuman with tidal brain. Until the creation of Rivers State by Gowon, no OGONI man can sleep on the hospital bed in Bori GENERAL HOSPITAL . As at 1977 only UYO ,PHC and CALABAR had electricity light. They were so underdeveloped by their Igbo overseers that you will think that you were in the Congo jungle.

Until Diette Spiff, there was no Ikwere named Street in Port Harcourt. To show how deep the derision is, the present Biafran agitatators changed the name of RIBISI (Phc) to IGWOCHA as if the IKWERES do not exist.

The third category are the Hausa Fulani. The igbos pretend to hate the Fulanis but the truth is that the Igbo man is subservient to them. Ignore the noise. There are historical facts to justify this. Zik served under BALEWA, EKWUEME served under SHAGARI and EKEREMANDU zoned the PDP presidency to the North because he wants to be the VICE PRESIDENT to a Northerner. After the civil war and OJUKWU was granted amnesty for his rebellion against constituted authority, he returned to Nigeria and he joined the Hausa fulani party (NPN) of those he accused of genocide against his Igbo people. It is Igbo tragedy that they hate and deride those who grow and sustain them while they cringe to those(the hausas) who kick them like balls. Igbos are the only race in nigeria that celebrate failure. In 1982, the igbos celebrated the defeat of biafra by welcoming ojukwu with fanfare on his return from asylum haven been granted amnesty by the igbo overlords- the hausa fulani. He revelled in the fanfare and promptly married FFK left over- forgotten the over 3million lgbos that died in the war and with many of them languishing at OJI RIVER CAMP.

The second celebration is the release of kanu with the most humiliating bail conditions ever granted an accused in the annals of Nigerian justice system. A bail conditions targeted at the entire Igbo race and granted by an Hausa Fulani judge. I could not believe that with all the noise, such bail conditions will be signed. But he signed and in his eagerness to leave kuje he abandoned his two conspirators in kuje. The bail conditions wiped out the Identity of the ibos and EKEREMANDU was made the enforcer of the conditions. FFK is a polemist like Femi ARIBISALA etc. They have the capacity to argue both sides of the same point. The igbos regard him as their hero just like Ayo fayose the Eze gburugburu the second. I hope very soon the by Igbo will not start blaming fayose as they blamed Awo for everything that went wrong with their prosecution of the biafran war. I rest.

Based on your logic everybody is then magnanimous as the Ibos have become millionaires everywhere from Lagos to Port Harcourt to Abuja to Kano. If it was about magnanimity as you want us to believe, why don't others own 90% of the hotels in Abuja or the building materials or eletronic shops? Or was the magnanimity extended only to the Ibos?

Which Tribe is most widespread in Nigeria today? Tell me it's not Igbos. If you are that hated how come you are welcome in other lands and the courtesy is not reciprocal? That other tribes didn't buy hotels is immaterial. The issue is they (Igbos) persued their business interests without hindrance.

Market level reasoning in the 21st century ; a time when others are doing serious branding ,adopting the new technologies or building professional careers.
Market /4 by 4 -from historical times , The market has always been a job fit yoruba women and the young ( the uneducated ones that is ) .

You need to wean yourself off this infatuation with Yoruba. It will be very strange indeed if noYorubas responded to any of the negative comments directed at them on social media by Igbos and Nnamdi Kanu.
Most Yoruba don't wake up everyday thinking about some guys selling electronics in Alaba.

Answers to all the questions you are asking:

The South-West, South-South and the entire North are blessed with fertail lands and accommodating people, while the South-East (Ibo/Igbo land) is blessed with Poto-poto land and hostile Pigs that have been brainwashed by an albino hunchback.

Op is deluded with the past and clearly a relic of lost age. Imagine asking for the whereabout of Ebenezer Obey board members.

Well for your 411 most of them died, when they got old and replaced with young brilliant entrepreneurs, business magnates, billionaires, leaders of the business conglomerates in Africa to mention a few.

Ogunlesi of Gip in us., Karl Lawal in Texas, richest black man in Texas, Femi Otedola, Adenuga, Kola Aluko, Omokore, Wale Tinubu, Ayeni, several business moguls litter Yoruba space, about 45% of the managing Directors of Nigerian banks are Yorubas, arguably about 40% of senior advocates are yorubas, ten richest Nigerian lawyers are Yoruba's, Yoruba young entrepreneurs are building armoured vehicles, Jac assembling vehicles, Obasa motors, building tabs, phones, laptops, etc real estate industry is in firm grip of yorubas,. the list is endless, so op why should any one be worried about the fries we pan out to IBOs.

So we don't want obey board members in our space any more we have something new and we yearn for more.

In grinding poverty and out of jealousy, the Almajiris of the North regularly lo [/s]

No matter what you buy or own, you all are still tenants.

If Nigeria ceases to exist today, you'll lose or forfeit all those fantasy properties you claim.

Why not pity your people at home and develop your region? Why do you want to kill yourself on Yorubas that don't even give a dam.n about you.

You lots need your brains examined. If dem sell land to you, you'll brag. If they don't, you'll still cry that Yorubas are tribalists that don't like igbos.
What exactly can please you greedy beings in this life sef?

And ur reality is yoruba hate Igbo? How many yorubas have created a radio station calling for igbos to be killed like kanu did. How many igbos have bin attacked in yoruba land? The fact that yorubas don't own 2x2 shop everywhere selling spare parts doesn't mean they are not doing well....

Left to me, I won't lease or sell land to them.. I so much hate their guts and daft nature.
Infact I have made up my mind never to patronize igbos again, so far I can get my items from fellow Yoruba or Hausa.

Too much familiarity brings contempt.. Yorubas got too familiar with them, that is why they are misbehaving.

Thanks to Kanu and his hate speeches, Yorubas can now see their real nature and feelings towards others.

Very empty chestbeaters full of hate and envy.. If not for Yorubas that spared their tribe, they would have gone extinct with the civil war
