Last night was indeed emotion-filled even as your America’s Got Talent season 12 champion was announced as Darci Lynne Farmer!

The 12 year old won the night with her incredible singing ventriloquist act even as she switched between voice keys, bringing her puppet, Petunia, back Wednesday for a performance of Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better) with fellow ventriloquist Terry Factor, who won season 2 of America’s Got Talent.

Wednesday’s finale featured a variety of star performance acts as the audience was beyond wowed seeing their favorite artistes and contestants perform side by side. Contestants Angelica Hale and Kechi kicked off the night by performing Kelly Clarkson’s Stronger with Clarkson herself, and Harvey took the stage with Shania Twain in a wonderful duet of You’re Still the One.

Singer, Angelica came in first runner up, just behind the ventriloquist.

Nigerian favourite, Kechi Okwuchi, who rose from the ashes in a fatal Sosoliso plane crash that took 108 lives on December 10, 2005, came in sixth place. Kechi who was indeed thrilled from the night had revealed in an ‘after-show’ interview that the results were well deserved. She really gave her best, don’t you think?
