I have a long hair, but I'm so tired of spending money on braids and fixing weaves on. I'm contemplating going natural for a while.

I'm thinking of cutting my hair short. I need a short hairstyle that I can style when I get bored like add extensions to the top and play with colors.

Any suggestion on possible short hairstyles I could do?

Yea I've had my hair short in the past. . .and I looked good on it. . .but its been almost 5yrs since I had my hair short.

That's exactly what I have lol.

Long in the front and very short in the back.

I can make any style with the from. . . . comb it to the side, make a spike with hold spray, sometimes I even braid the front lol.

Just make sure you keep the front long so you can do anything to it, if you make it all short, it'll look same everytime. Boring lol!

you think so? i always felt limited on styles when i use to have short hair. i feel very liberated in terms of style with longer hair now.

but with natural hair, dont you still have to spend more money on protective styles like braids? and maintenance

I didnt read where she said she was going natural. . . . Thonia, you'll have to cut your hair off to properly go natural.

It depends on what kinda cut you have. Not too short, you can still braid it like regular hair. And it can get messy easily, but the messiness can look like a style lol

LOL i guess. dont think i will ever go short again even though, i sometimes still get longer throat when i see all this beautiful short hairstyles but dont think i have the patience for short hair

Takes me about 1 1/2 hr to wash/ blow dry [thick hair]/ flat iron/ etc
But its worth the time jare

you get plenty time jare. u flatiron yourself? guess dats one of the good sides of short hair cos with a hair like mine, your hands and neck will sue for you for pain and damages afterward
