The OP is not being judgemental, she is asking a valid question, if one is really ready to walk with God, then he shouldn't be going back to the same sin everytime; repenting from the sin is very imperative. If true Repentance has occurred and you sin, you will feel so bad and remorse because you actually did something contrary to your new nature (of being born again), asking for forgiveness everytime for the same sin is an indicator that true Repentance hasn't occurred.

Imagine telling your kid to stop fighting at school and he tells you: I'm sorry dad i won't fight anymore, he goes to school every other day fighting and the school management is abt to expel him for his ill mannered behaviour, will you forgive him the next time he comes to tell you he won't fight at school anymore? I don't know abt you but at this point i will beat the hell out of him because he hasn't actually repented and changed from his bad behaviour, he hasn't actually respected my order, he has been taking me for granted.

Salvation as a Process is the effort we have to make to keep the grace God gave us, to be in a state of grace. St. Paul has already told us this grace can be lost anytime by not following God's ways and doing evil things.

If you don't show God that you hate this particular sin and put effort to stop it, he's not going to help you take care of any sin.

The greatest error of modern man cum Christian are:
RATIONALISATION OF SIN- here the Christian caught up in secular world now weighs up which evil he has done wrong that can be group as sin or not

I will only give a real life narrative.
There is this guy that does exactly what the op posted. With impunity.
