Andy Cole (15th October 1971)He played in the top division of English football for Arsenal,Newcastle United,Manchester United,Blackburn Rovers,Fulham,Manchester City,Portsmouth and Sunderland, as well as in the Football League for Bristol City,Birmingham City,Burnley and Nottingham Forest. He is the third highest goalscorer in Premier League history, with 187goals.Cole hasthe distinction of being one of the few players in England to have swept all possible honours in the English game, including the PFA Young Player of the Year award, as well as the coveted UEFA Champions League title.Cole was also capped fifteen times for England between 1995 and 2001, scoring once against Albania in a World Cup qualifier.Didier Deschamps (15th October 1968)In addition to winning two Ligue 1titles in 1991 and 1992, Deschamps was part of the Marseille squad that became the first,and so far only,French club to win the UEFA Champions League, a feat which the team achieved in1993; with the Champions League victory, Deschamps became the youngestcaptain ever to lead his team to win the title. With Juventus heplayed three Champions League finals in a row between 1996and 1998, winning the title in 1996. With the Turin side, he also won the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup, as well as three Serie A titles, among other trophies. With Chelsea, he won the1999–2000 FA Cup, and also reached another Champions League final with Valencia in 2001, before retiring later that season. After one season, he transferred to Ligue 1side AS Monaco, where he would form a striking partnership with international teammate Thierry Henry, winning the league in the1996–97 season. He left the club in 2000, having scored 52 goals in 93 Ligue 1 appearances and having claimed two Ligue 1 championships and the1997 Trophée des champions. In 2000, Trezeguet signed for Italian Serie A club Juventus fora transfer fee of £20 million. Overall, Trezeguet scored 138 goals in 245 league appearances for Juventus, making him the fourth-highest goalscorer in the club’s history.Later in his career he had brief spells in Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Argentina and India.At international level, Trezeguet scored 34 goals in 71 appearances for the France national team between 1998 and 2008. He also played for France at under-18,under-20, and under-21levels.Trezeguet represented France at the1997 FIFA World Youth Championship, the1998 FIFA World Cup,UEFA Euro 2000, the2002 World Cup,Euro 2004and the 2006 World Cup. Despite France winning the 1998 World Cup and finishing runners-up at the 2006 tournament, Trezeguet is perhaps most famous for scoring the golden goal in the Euro 2000 final against Italy, which gave France a 2–1 win in extra time and missing his penalty in the 2006 World Cup final. Trezeguet is part of the FIFA 100 list of125 Greatest living players. In 2015, he was named one of the Golden Foot Award Legends.Mesut Ozil (15th October 1988)Ozil plays mostly as an attacking midfielder, but can also be deployed as a winger. He began his senior career as a member of his hometown club Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga, departing two seasons later to join Werder Bremen for €5 million. He garnered breakout attention at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, where at age 22, Özil was instrumental in the side’s campaign where they reached the semi-finals, losing toeventual champions Spain. He was also nominated for the Golden Ball Award, as well as being ranked first in assists in major European and domestic competitions with 25.
