In the vein of promoting, advancing and providing supports that will drive the Nigerian power sector to a fruition, a Non-Governmental Organisation called Grand African Empowerment Support and Youth Development Centre has unveiled its newest program tagged "Light-Up Nigeria Project".

According to the Project Director, Mr. Victor Joseph, the project is aimed at providing stable power supply through the critical exploration of Solar energy and Bio gas. He says, "we have identified the flaws and inefficiency in the Nigeria power sector and we have defined a framework that will provide lasting solutions to this long-felt problems".

He added that the project which is aimed at engaging the revolution of the power sector will also play a pragmatic role in the provisions of over 40million job opportunities for youths, empowerment of 20,000 Nigerians, create vast employment, enable the development of several MSMEs and engage the electrification of over 2000 rural villages in Nigeria.

This project has been applauded and endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Power and Industry and necessary arrangements are been put in place to encourage GAESY in their plight to provide this support to Nigerians.

Indeed, several localities especially in rural areas do not have access to stable power supply, which has left series of blemishes on the structure of this nation, as well as the socio-economic growth of Nigeria.
"Light-Up Nigeria Project" is providing affordable and sustainable power availability to all social classes and all sectors of the Nigeria structure.

However, the project will kick start it's training programmes on the 30th of October for interested technicians, distributors and retailers. The project director also used this medium to encourage interested participants to be part of the forthcoming training that will build Entrepreneurs who will promote the initiative and continually front the project, he concluded.
