The Nigerian military is a huge institution that is dedicated to its fundamental duty of protecting the territorial integrity of Nigeria and preventing any form of external aggression from undermining its interests. To do this, it has a huge capacity in terms of healthcare with numerous primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare centres under its management.

In recent times, there have been rather unfortunate rumours leading to panic that the military is out to inject people with Monkey pox which is based on fake news. What many Nigerians seem not to understand is that a large part of the civilian population use military hospitals and medical centres.

As part of building good civil-military relations, the 3 services, namely Army Navy and Air Force take time out to offer free medical services to members of the public in both troubled spots like in Northern Nigeria with the IDPs and elsewhere as is being done with Operation Python Dance and Crocodile Dance. This services are free and only for those interested in benefiting from them.

Therefore, there is no need for panic or hysteria in any part of Nigeria over any military outreach, if you do not want to participate just live your life and those who need these services will visit the locations where they are happening.

1.Medical outreach: You stay in your barracks or IDP Camp and people come to you for free treatment if they want.

2.Rumour Mongers and Fake News Generators: Military is invading schools to inject children.

Any sane rational person knows these 2 are different. It is like saying civilians are not in military hospitals all over Nigeria receiving treatment right now including the Southeast.

There is a link of military hospitals around Nigeria here http://www.opinions.ng/need-know-nigerias-military-outreach/.

Nothing new or strange about it except for people that have their own negative agenda to create panic among people.

Mr man, there is nothing like rumour here!
Nigeria Army badged into some schools in the east, even in Edo state (I'm 100 % sure on this) and tried injecting students with something suspected to be monkeypox virus..

If you are those fulani guys wearing soldier uniforms are not part of the Nigeria Army then we have a serious problem at hand..

I can't believe afonjas too can reject the same vaccine they insulted Igbos for. At the sight of a military van near one community school in Akure, hundreds of afonjas took to their heels, running like they were being chased by demons, cone heads knocking each other.
