TEXT:"THE elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;"-2 John 1:1

The truth is the true facts about something, rather than the things that have been invented or guessed. In John 18:37, 38; Jesus said, every one who is of the truth hears him. Pilate then asked him, "What is truth?" And to answer the question, Jesus is the truth, John 14:6. If you know Jesus, you know the truth, and if you don't know Jesus, you don't know the truth. Let us see some words of truth in the Bible books of Matthew chapters 5, 6, and 7.

You are the salt of the earth. Don't lose your savour. You are the light of the world. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven.

In addition, Jesus did not come to destroy the law or the prophets, but he came to fulfill them, because the law and the prophets are two of the five edges of the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. These five edges are: the law; the prophets; the gospels; the epistles; and the revelation.

Furthermore, the word of truth says, show forbearance, and forgive one another, if any man has a quarrel against any: forgive even as Jesus Christ forgave you. The husband should not divorce his wife, and vice versa. And if the couple should separate, because of fornication, and any other problems, neither of them should remarry, if they do, they have committed adultery. Only death should separate them permanently. They should resolve their differences and come back together as a couple.

More so, the word of truth continues: you shall not swear, neither by heaven; for it is God's throne. Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool, nor by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Don't even swear by your head, but let your communication be yes or no, anything more than this is evil.

Also you shall not practice eye for eye, or tooth for tooth, because it can leave every one blind, and without teeth. Whosoever that slaps you on one cheek, turn the other also, but if you can't walk, then walk away, and leave vengeance for God. Any one who will sue you and take away your stuff, be ready to let go of more stuff. And if any one will compel you to go a mile, be ready to go two miles with him. Give to him that ask of you, or want to borrow from you, if you have.

The truth says, you shall love your enemies. Do good to those that hate you. Pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you. Be perfect like your heavenly Father, who does good to all and sundry.

Furthermore, when you give, do not make a big show about your giving. Let your giving be done in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Also, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut the door, pray to your Father in secret; and your Father who sees in secret, shall reward you openly. And when you fast, wash your face and anoint your head. That men may not know that you are fasting, but your Father only, and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly.

Be anxious for nothing, but by prayer make your request known to God, and everything shall be given to you. Do not worry about tomorrow, but rather live each day as it comes. Do not judge any one, that you may not be judged. Ask for the Holy Spirit, you shall be given. Seek for the kingdom of God, you shall find it. And when you find it, knock at the gate of the kingdom, it shall be opened to you. All good things whatsoever you would want men to do to you, make sure you do same to men.

Enter the narrow gate that leads to life, and not the wide gate that leads to destruction. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. And don't forget, not every one that calls Jesus Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of God, but only those that do the will of the Father.

In conclusion, if you are of the truth, you will hear these sayings of the truth, and do them. And you'll be like a wise man who builds his house on a rock. The rains, the floods, and the winds could not destroy it. And not like a foolish man, who hears and does not do them, whose house was destroyed by the rains, the floods, and the winds, because he built his house on the sand. A word is enough for the wise!

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
