As the sun's warmth is sweet euphonic tones
Each chord, mystic unspoken word abound

If time dost tinge all grey with its dour paint
And deadens the greens of spring by autumn
Sweet soft melody nev'r with the clock faint
Not a moment ebb away an atom

Long as the earth still breathe, and men do live
Sound of music waxes like the moon do
Long as history lives on, and reason too
