Revelations have began to emerge on the real reasons the recent reinstatement of the former Chairman of Presidential Committee on Pension Reform Taskforce Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina, into the federal civil service is generating a lot of dusts.

The Federal Government may have brought him to Nigeria to help fight corruption.

It has also been disclosed that he has spent over a year in the country and have been responsible for the whistle blowing policy of the Nigerian government.

He has as well help the President Muhammadu Buhari's administration to recover several looted funds.

"The treasury looters don't want to hear of his name as they are afraid", source told The Street Reporters.

Unknown to many Nigerians, Maina has being working with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, the attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) in recovering looted funds.

A Federal government Delegation had at a meeting held at Emirate Grand Hotel, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, promised him security cover ahead of his return to Nigeria.

It was disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari was at the said meeting in person.

A close source to the President Buhari administration, who would not want to be named as he was not authorised to speak on the issue, made the revelations saying, that the "EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu has been seeing Maina as they have been working together.

"Those afraid of Abdulraseed Maina should begin to return their loot as Nigerians want Maina to expose the remaining ones.

"Though the promoters of the anti-Maina campaign are implementing a well written script, aimed at reducing President Buhari and his administration to nothing.

"A man who has been working with you for over a year, is here being disengaged to serve the interest of Falana, Sagay and Fayose or that of the criminally minded PDP people, whose tenure Maina is currently helping the federal government in recovering the looted funds?

"Are you not aware that Ibrahim Lamorde, who was accused of stealing one trillion Naira as EFCC chairman, was declared wanted and he later went into hiding?

"He is now heading the Police Special Fraud Unit in Lagos. As we speak, he's there and nobody is talking about it.

"But because of Maina's anti corruption stance, thieves who are jittery have continued to sponsor smear campaign against Maina", he observed.
