The truth is that both Joe and Jacobo suppose to have finished their schooling at the same time, but due to the strike going on, Jacobo is unable to finish his program. In the village both of them could not actually do without the other in terms of their level of friendship. And it was this same mindset that Joe had, in making him to chooses to come and stay with Jacobo instead of going to stay with his own sister and other relations, in spite of the difficulties to cope with space in the metropolitan setting, which is quite different from the village life . In Joe’s modest estimation, there is nothing wrong with putting up with a friend irrespective of whether the space is there or not. One day, a meal was to be served but Joe definitely was not to be found at the time and Jacobo knows it, but Granny has never be informed of Joe’s habit, which was the snicking out at will without even informing anyone of his where about. But the moment she got to know about it, she scolded Joe beyond recognition and asks him, if he has partaking in any dog -meal in his life, which according to her could be responsible for his instability and his high level of propensity, of which he always want to be on the move from one place to the other.
But this could not make any slightest positive or negative impact on him toward any adjustment to want to change his movement. And Jocobo, however, was well aware that such concept with his friend in itself is too foreign for him to understand. Granny on her part, an erudite conservative of the stampo-Victorian era, tends to view his visitor as part of the household irrespective of who the individual maybe. And of what come to be known as a responsibility is a concept that must be taken seriously towards any such individual. The body language of Granny in respect of this concept, for Jacobo, is understood and acquainted to so well, but for his friend, he seems to be unaware in all its ideas and concepts as a term to grapple with in any language analysis and observation. Jacobo and his friend are two individuals in opposite pole, although, identical in outlook and in temperament. Granny was preparing to treat Jacobo with all due respect as August -visitor of the house but his friend never come to view himself in that light in any slight imagination. On the whole, Jacobo simply tends to laugh on every issue that has to do with his friend whenever, Granny wants to call toward his friend, although, Jacobo was never going to reveal any of this intriguing situation to his friend about his conduct.
But out of curiosity, Jacobo went further to really get the fact about dog-meat meal but only to be told, it was one of those saying of the past without any form of verifiable objectivity in the concept. But the truth in of all this, in what looks like a modern culture, such meal actually comes to be adored a great deal in some section of the modern day culture. From Granny’s observation, it immediately occur to Jacobo that, if his friend must stay with him for a very long time he must be prepared to handle the mantle of defense , even if it amount telling a consistent lie in order to maintain his friend’s integrity and in what may look like a questionable character. Because Granny was not too use to any such attitude due to her conservative nature. In this perspective, Jacobo had to struggle daily to conform and protect, of which his friend was never aware in what looks like his freelance attitude, not without mind burgling propensity with low level of observation. In this climate his friend still behave as if he was still in school or with one of his elder sister as he snick out often to see them. But that there seems to exist; some diverse level of viewing reality between these two individuals cannot be disputed.
