This people's sense of entitlement is out of this world. They really seem to believe they own Nigeria. Living in fools' paradise.

You won't rein in your rampaging brothers that are destroying lives and property but you are quick to oppose moves curtail them by enactments.

They should hasten the enactments so you can do your worst.

The government needs to proscribe these herdsmen as they have officially come out as terrorists. These people are obviously on a mission to terrorise the rest of the country and they must be treated as the murderous felons that they are.

Middle Belters reaping the fruits of thy forefathers. Most of ur rulers till date still support the evils of the Almajiris & Fulani jihadist that has kept a tight choke hold on Juria & everything there in. Ignorance to the complacency of ur forefathers & rulers is no excuse. I say deal with ur Masters....

there are substitutes for all those things u mentioned most leather products these days are made of synthetic leader, so if the south decide to boycott cow products it will be fine.

Cowards actually, because they're only so audacious when their kin is in power. It's like a child who is badly-behaved only when an older relative who wouldn't let harm come to them is around. Hardly fearless.

Governor sir, enforce the law passed by your State House of Assembly.

The cries and anguish of your people should not be allowed to continue. They deserve peace.

Peace must prevail in Plateau State.

If no peace, your people may resort to defence without mercy.

Won't happen. The army only specialises in combat with unarmed individuals. Plus Buhari would never give the go ahead; his hands are tied where herdsmen are concerned.

They are Nigerians and they have the right to graze their cattles in any part of the federation. Banning them isn't the solution, we need to plead with them and create an enabling environment for their business to thrive. After all, we can't live a day without eating meat
Oga they are killing people with this practice, is life no longer important to you?

Bros there is no pleading with anybody.

The freedom of movement guaranteed in the constitution is movement of people not cows.

Animal husbandry is a business and only the backward will keep employing primitive nomadic method of hearding in this 21st century. The other day they were grazing cows on airport runway and you say they should not be banned?

How many times have you travelled to US or UK and sight a cow crossing the road? Don't they eat beef or milk their cows? Why do some people just choose to be backward? Let's call a spade a spade.

The right to life is the greatest and first human right. Using your business to constitute nuisance and infringe on other people's right to life is the height of wickedness and irresponsibility.

Open grazing will be banned sooner or later. If you want to continue your cattle business, buy a land and establish a ranch.

Nothing will happen if you don't eat cow meat. There are other sources of meat like chicken, goat, pork for those who eat it.
Infact red meat is not the best healthwise for adults.

Farmers cannot keep planting and having their livelihood destroyed so that cattle rearers can prosper in their own endeavour.
Most industrialized countries have surplus supply of meat, and it's definitely by open range, and your animals are fenced in/ranching
People need to learn to move with the times. Nomadic grazing doesn't seem to be the way in Nigeria in 2017, the cattle rearers need to explore other options.

I think it's high time other parts of the country start sustaining their meat supplies. If the nomadic rearers are not interested in getting ranches, the govt of each state or even individuals can start up the business of animal husbandry. They can start rearing their own cows. It's a matter of time, perseverance and patience. The cows will grow one day, and would keep multiplying

In a sane country this man will be arrested immediately and charged to court for insightijg violence.

You can’t go on trespassing and destroying other people’s property because that’s the life style you know.

If that’s ok then we should also legalise Armed robbery because that is the only means of livelihood the robbers know!

Hypothetical scenario if they do manage to get middle belt states to ban open grazing that leaves only south and North. In Benue MACBAN opted to go to Niger, Nasarawa and Taraba (open grazing illegal). I think they will decide to move further south if they don't have choice.

The only x factor is how the southern lawmakers will react to influx of herds men if the decided come. Currently southern states haven't in a hurry to ban open grazing like Edo.

Ekiti state was the 1st state in the country to ban open grazing.

Followed by benue state. Then taraba state.

Ondo state house of assembly are still sitting on theirs. When did edo pass their anti-grazing bill? Last I heard obaseki was against it.

Just imaging the audacious pomposity!, despite this open threat to security n peace this bunch of idiots will not be declared terrorist, the Muslim States of the far north has imposed Shari'a on everyone in their States with the establishment of Shari'a law enforcement agency aka the "Hisbah" without any iota of qualms for the feelings of other religious adherents but now feels their so call interest must be respected at all cost even to the detriment of host communities. just imaging the fabricated lies used in issuing threats when it's a fact that Fulani's are not the only pastoral ethnic group in Africa or the world, ranching has been in practice for long in so many countries, but because for a very long time most tribes in Nigeria has given in to the threat, intimidation n dominance of the Hausa/Fulani especially In the north, the Hausa/Fulani now feels everyone is now their slave, now it's clear without doubt what the incessant herdsmen attacks in the middle belt are all about. It's up to the States involved to show courage n take all necessary measures to protect their peopled n interests within the armpit of the Nigerian laws, those who may want to depend on buhari should endeavour to consult history properly.

Trash trash trash. See gut . Middle belt should go ahead and ban them. How many people have to die before we end this era of blood sucking open field grazing of cattle? Rubbish Red cholesterol filled killer meat. Do this once and for all and heaven will not fall. If they don't know any other grazing method, they should learn. Change is constant.
