[s]5,000 troops of newly forcmed Nigeria army COIN Brigade arrived from Russian army SF and Pakistani army SF training to start the final offensive....120 Nigerian troops trained by Eben Barlow are a drop in an ocean....95% of foreign credit goes to Russia/Pakistan.

Russian army should be the one claiming glory, not South Africa....and Eben Barlow is NOT in your army, he is a private company trainer.

SANDF has NOTHING to claim in Nigeria's victory, your army NEVER left South Africa !

AugustineAgain:

1. You know almost NOTHING about the Boko Haram war, it did NOT start in Sambisa forest, the war started in Maiduguri city under Mohammed Yussuf.....you are a complete ignoramus domingo grin grin

2. Tide of the war was turned by T-72 tanks and Mi-35 Hind E......plus 5,000 Nigerian army new COIN brigade that arrived for final offensive after COIN war tactics training in Russian army and Pakistani army....the Russians gave us the most relevant training their army's combat experience in Afghanistan against Islamic Mujahedeen terrorist forces, and that was an exact copy of Boko Haram.....120 Nigerian troops trained by Eben Barlow's PMC (NOT your SANDF army, Eben is a private company man) is just a tiny drop in an ocean.

Russian army should be the ones bragging about saving Nigeria with 5,000 troops they trained under their COIN special forces and sent to Nigeria for final offensive.....SA did next to nothing !

3. Liberian rebels were double the size of Boko Haram and Charles Taylor had military training and weapons from Libyan army through Ghadaffi, they were 10 times more powerful than Boko Haram, they defeated the National army of Liberia.....and Nigeria demolished them finally. SANDF has no such achievement with rebels in C.A.R Bangui, the war out-lived your elite troops and Gripen jets that sat down in Congo.

Sierra Leonean rebels defeated their country's national army, E.O mercenaries of Eben Barlow failed to defeat the rebels, so the Sierra Leonean president Captain Valentine Strassser sacked the South African mercenaries and replaced them with Nigeria army, and that is how Freetown became free, Nigeria won the war.

Nothing close to those achievements exist in South African army history.....SANDF has ZERO success achievement....Remember Seleka fiasco !
.

1. First major combat operations were in Sambisa Forest

2. Lol - now some new brigade exists? Who says they were there? You? 120 mercenaries trained many more than just 120 men, and those merc's flew your hinds. Victory belongs to them

3. Liberian rebels were not even worthy of being called militia, let alone insurgents. They were pathetic. And your men who were unable to defeate them were equally pathetic. The fight in CAR is an immense acheivement!

EO annihalted those rebels in a couple of months! Nigeria was unable to finish off the Rebels, you had to beg the English and Americans to do it for you!

Seleka fiasco? You mean the battle were 200 of our men stopped over 2000 enemy fighters dead in their tracks for over 13 hours, inflicted over 400 casualties for the loss of only 13 men and then got the rebels to offer a ceasefire? Is that a fiasco?

1. So why did you post that F-22 video, and you captioned it as an F-22 doing a vertical takeoff?

2. You should probably visit an eye clinic now, before you condition gets worse. I said the Pakistanis now have the Option of using the WS-13(17).

3. 2 Gripens Jets of the same class and same Airforce crashed with a period of 17 days. A brand new F-16, that hasn't even been delivered to it's owners crashed in the desert, killing it's Pilot.

The F-35 got it's a$s handed to it by a cold war relic. This is just pathetic.

The SU-30MKI took on Front-line U.S Dogfighters and scored over 90% of all kills. ....... Now, this is sad!

You are a mumu, I'm not referring to the Mig-29 or SU-30. Make a coherent argument.

6 Russian jets crashed in a MONTH - including a brand new one.

You have no argument here because all you can claim is that 3 NATO jets crashed.... wow so insulting

F-35 is still in development and WVR coding is not complete, while the F16 and F35 were designed with different roles in mind. And in the article they said that the same thing happened when they introduced the F16 to replace the Phantom.

When did the Su-30MKI do this? Are you talking about India? Have you actually read about those exercises? You know that the Americans capabilities had to be severely limited in order for the Indians to even stand a chance?

Although I don't agree with Evarn's post on the 4++ fighter, I however refuse the premise of your own rebuttal.

Nigeria has continued to defy logic, in 1999 nobody believed that Nigeria could produce sh1t......... yes SHIT!!!!!!!! in any sector, not to even talk of the military. In 1999 only debts were in the minds of Nigerians, but today, the Nigerian Airforce is currently developing it's very own Trainer/ Surveillance plane. Nigerian military systems non-existent in the battlefield, have now become BASIC common place in todays battlefield, From LAV's - Igirigi MRAPs - Drones - IPVs- Ships - Tug boats - Infantry systems - to complex Nigerian designed and deployed surveillance systems in the eastern naval command.

Can Nigeria build a 4++ generation fighter in the coming years...... The answer to this question is simply, Nobody knows. I do not know!!

No nigeria cannot

You have not developed anything particularly "complex" yet

You are just too dull!

I only mentioned just a few Western planes that have crashed within that month, of course there was also the case of a C-130 crashing into a residential area, the Thai F-16 that flew straight from the Runway and into the sewer, the curious case of a Saudi F-15 crashing into the sea and many more.....

No, the F-35 got it's ass handed to it on a platter by a cold war relic, now that's thoroughly pathetic.

I hope you also do remember that the SU-30MKI also had some of it's integral capabilities turned off. The exercise proved that an F-15 is no match for an under-strength SU-30. SU-30's scored 90% of all kills.

1. 6 Russian jets crashed in a month. You have to cross the globe to come up with simular figures - I am JUST talking about Russia. 6 in a month. And even including the whole world you cannot beat that number!

2. F35 is under development still, F35 has not had its WVR coding finished, F35 is not designed with the same needs or role as the F16 and the same thing happened to the F16 when it got introduced.

3. No, I dont remeber, because that did not happen. Fact is that the USAF platforms had to have their capabilities severely degraded and they outnumbered the Americans

First of all, the lack of the advanced active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar on their F-15s. Second, the air engagements typically involved six Eagles against up to eighteen IAF aircraft with no chance to simulate any beyond visual range (BVR) missile shot (due to the Indian request of not using the AMRAAM).
http://theaviationist.com/2014/05/02/cope-india-2004-results/

So well done, you have shown that when you take away the focal point of NATO air doctrine (BVRM attack) and then outnumber them 3:1 you can beat them

You are also forgetting that at Red Flag in 1v1 fights against the USAF the Indians got so badly obliterated that they REFUSED to do any more 1v1 combat

Truth Revealed By South African Defenceweb :

Nigerian army Special battalions got ADVANCED COIN training under Russian Army for 4 months and returned to North East Nigeria to lead in the battles that finally defeated Boko Haram -

.

Contrary to lies told by many world news reports and publications, the final assault on Boko Haram that defeated the terrorists was led by the Nigerian army special COIN Brigade trained quickly by Russian army from August 2014 to January 2015.

The Russian army has many years of war experience against Islamic terrorists in Afghanistan called Mujahedeens and transferred their skills to several battalions of the Nigerian army's special forces COIN Brigade....

"The Nigerian security services have sent 1 200 personnel to Russia where they are receiving advanced counter-insurgency training from Russian special forces and will return to form the nucleus of a special counter-insurgency force which will be deployed to fight Boko Haram militants.

Each batch received Russian-style specialised counter-insurgency warfare training for four months and on return will form the core of a new special forces brigade which is being created to take the lead in the army's faltering offensive amid massive territorial gains in the northern states of Borno and Adamawa by the Islamist Boko Haram group.
