The Federal Government at the weekend said Nigerians should never pray for the return of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the ruling party in the country again saying it will be a monumental tragedy for the country if that should happen.
Addressing newsmen in Lagos, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture also said aside from bringing Nigerians out of hell they were thrown into by the PDP, the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is winning the battle to revamp the economy. This according to him is evident in the country coming out of recession and the report by the World Bank which indicated that Nigeria has moved forward as she now ranked 145th position out of 190 countries in the Ease of Doing Business index for 2018.
While reeling out the achievement of the Buhari administration, the Minister said though the worst critics of the administration hailed its fight against corruption and tackling insecurity, it has always criiticised its management of the economy which went into recession few months after the government came into power.
On whether the government is worried about the determination of the PDP to regain the power it lost in 2015, the Minister said the government is not worried as Nigerians who voted out the party out of power will not bring them back having seen revelations of atrocities committed by the party during its 16 year reign.
“As to whether we are afraid of whether we are afraid of the PDP staging a comeback, I can confidently tell you that we are not even contemplating it. It will be a tragedy for Nigeria to fall back into the hands of PDP. They dropped us in hell and we are taking people out of hell. How can Nigeria now go back to Egypt?”.
“It is not about APC or President Buhari . With the kind of revelation that is coming out, the kind of rot, you want those people to come back and preside over the affairs of Nigeria again? What will happen to the investigations that were carried out if the PDP should win elections again? It will be swept under the carpet”.
“ This is the first time in the history of this country that we are making real recoveries. Only three days ago, we signed an MOU with the Swiss government to return $321m that was stolen from the country. Nigeria should never ever pray for PDP to come back”

“When we negotiated with the Swiss government to return Abacha’s loot, they gave us some conditions. One of which is that we must identify what programmed we want to use the money for and that the World Bank will supervise what we are using the money for. When we now argue that we are a sovereign country and that they can’t dictate to us how we are going to spend money that was stolen from our country and they are returning, they said ‘yes, but when we returned part of it to your country, you relooted it under Jonathan. Which is true” he said.

There is no difference between APC and PDP but PDP is better off than APC.Apc plung Nigeria into it second recession since 1984 when the same gambari in power brought Nigeria in it first.
Under APC rulership, there are nepotism,massive job losses,inflation,100% fuel price increase,massive corruption cover up,fulani herdsmen killings.
I am yet to see the positive impact on the ₦6trillion and ₦7trillion 2016 and 2017 budget respectively.

I completely agreed. I could recall...I was been owned 7months..salary...just before Buhari administration... From Jan 2015..July... 2015...thank God for buhari bailout.. I got full 4months.salary..within 3wks
