Praying for a candidate is quite different from endorsing a candidate. Anybody can be prayed for. No sane clergy goes about endorsing a candidate, knowing fully well that in his congregation there is bound to be different folks with different political leanings. I don't see any endorsement here, just the normal seeking the face of a God they are in a hurry to forget as soon as they climb the seat.
