A DAY WITH THE PROPHET FOR TODAY(30th Safar, 1439AH/19th November, 2017):-

"Shaddad bin Anus reported that the Holy Prophet (SAW) said: A wise man is the one who calls himself to account (and refrain from doing evil deeds) and does noble deeds to benefit himself after death and the foolish person is the one who subdues himself to his temptations and desires and seek from Allah the fulfillment oh his vain desires."

COMMENTARY ON HADITH:-
This Hadith highlights the importance of the accountability of one's self. Mere desires which are not coupled with practical efforts are of no avail because Allah grants reward on good deeds and not on yearnings and desires which are not supported by noble actions.
