I often hear stuffs like : "i bought my sim for 40k", "i bought my sim before gsm became popular". I'll go first, i bought mine around 2004 during a V-mobile promo.

lucky you, my parents got the sim me and my sister shared sim in 2003 for 14k when it was very expensive only for the for the price to crash in less than six months . subsequent sims i bought are less than N1000.

My mama buy her own 10k then.
Me i buy my own emptyN 2k around 2004.

I bought my econet line 35k while my mtn sim 15k.

Unfortunately, because of network jam with mtn service. I abandon my line for three months and someone call my econet line later then and tell me that my mtn line when call is being answer by another man. When I call mtn customer care, they told me that because I have left my sim for long without using it that it has been blocked. Can you imagine.
That was how I lost that my unique mtn number.

This Topic brings back memories. Bought my first SIM which i gave to my brother for 6.5K (a Glo SIM) which he eventually misplaced. . Second SIM for 4.5k (MTN) which i eventually sold for 4k cos i was broke, thrid SIM (GLO) 3.5 which i eventually misplaced, fourth SIM (GLO) N600 and the list goes on and on,

It was Dec. 2003,  I got Econet line for 7500 Naira. Hmmn, old memories!
