I just finished a rough work on my locally 3m facing the heaven on nilesat. The MBCs (11938v) is @58%. The target jsc sports (+5-10 and jsc world cup) is @48% with no cracking. Only 84 channels have poped up. I am happy cos the locally made did the job. I will continue the work tomorrow with lnb tweaking cos I know that the dish will hit at least 74% on 11938 and rock better than my former strong 2.4m. Thanks.

@AUCHS, where is your location? I hit 62% on 12284v 27500(jsc sports +1-4),69% on 11938 v 27500(mbc) but i can't get jsc sports +5 to +10. I use 1.8m ground mount pan dish.

Kinmen2004_ my location is Awka at Anambra. From my rough work it shows that for jsc+5 to +10 to turn green, the 11.938v should be at 54%. jsc+5 to +10 is on nile 201 while +1 to +4 is on nile 102. With your 11938v at above 60%, use 11958H for the remaining jsc and you should surely be there.

Kinsmen2004,if you cant receive nile 201 or atlanticbird 7 beam in oyo jsc5-10 will not come up.auch was able to receive nile201,102,101,atlanticbird7 because of his 3m dish size.i doubt if your 1.8m could do the magic but you can give it a trial.no crime about that.auch thumb up for you.

you got it perfectly right. It is because of my dish size irrespective of my poor work at the moment (11938v at 54%). I went for 3m because the jsc+5-+10 on nile 201 is illusive/poor with cracking at day time on my 2.4m. I think it is advisable to use dishes that is 3.m and above to be able to enjoy all the 7.0'w fringe sats. I will post the channels with there signal strength later after working on the dish. The good aspect of the dish is it have segments and can be dismantled for easy transportation.
The prices are
3.0m-40k 3.5m-50k and 4.0m-90k
I dont no why 4m is 90k. It is made of galvanised sheet and is not too heavy.

@all After all the tweaking and stretching in and out of lnb, with no or little balancing of dish because the thing(mounting pole) is plumbed and a blind scan as at 7pm yesterday. I got 181 channels on srt4663x box. After a blind scan.

AB7s 11.161V-was green (48%) as at my initial rough work with nile 102s 11938v at 54% but after perfecting my work, i.e 11.938v(66%), the AB7's 11.161v went red. Question is why? The gurus should have there say.

you have really come a long way with your nile experiment. your success is a challenge to others who want to go the same path.

as for the tps which were green before now turning red, it means you still need to do a little tweaking on your dish alignment and lnb.

I did as you advised but the issue is that the AB7s 11.161 turning green will collect some signal strenght from the nile tps. My concentration is to have a better signal on nile201s Jsc +5-+10.

i can't really understand why in d sw jsc+5 -+10 on nile201 is elusive to us even on 3m. I was actually going nuts when i realise i am not alone in this.Peeps in my neighbourhood mounted 3m fibre dishes but still can't get jsc +5 - +10. I will not pay any monthly subscription to BB , if it means mounting a earth station so be it.

Help! I activated my Aljazeera card today but only jsc+1-+4 opened and +5-+10 remained scrambled channel on 4663x.

I will advice that the your colleague should try another decoder and know if it will hit green.
