what can u say about HOLA tv goes blank

i need some1 to help me out. I just bought western digital external hard disk for my srt 4940 but srt 4940 is not detecting it. This hard disk is NTFS formated. What could be wrong?

I don't know about 4940 but my 4669x will not recognise a disk that is NTFS. It has to be formatted as FAT32. Probably best to format it using your decoder under disk options. Also be aware that if power goes while you are recording to the disk (or even just playing from it) it may soon spoil.

nop, i've bn using it for over a two years now and is still going.

My advice is to format it through the receiver as u mentioned earlier, it had to FAT32 for it to recognize the Hard disk (my experience).

My strong 4669xii is always rebooting, live every minute. i have disconnected the recieve cable coming from the lnb and its still rebooting. Please what could be causing it and how could i solve it?? I just downloaded the december 2012 release of 4669xii firmware but the srt is rebooting so fast i just cant get anything done. Pls advise if you know what i could do.

Try loading the software you downloaded via PC

@Pidzo, how do you do that using PC??
I left the srt off for some 10 mins and then i put it on. it stayed long enough for me to load the new firmware (via usb) but after few mins it started rebooting again.

I had a similar case here too. Up till now, I've not been able to resolve it. But this doesn't reboot it goes back 2 standby after every few mins. I've set d d timer to off, reload s/w all to no avail.

Attach flash disk on USB port so as to download newspaper content under PDF format>>>>>




Once download is complete, you can access your Peoples Daily Newspaper in the comfort of your home>>>>>>>>>>>

Yes I agree the 'software' newspaper can't beat the paper version but half a loaf is better than none
Looks like the general appearance of pics you posted are better than the normal layout of Strong receivers. I hope the software designers will incorporate this new look into SRT 4930 and related receivers.
