The OP did not tell us what the say
the money really is meant for!

You know after filling and submitting the form,
Canada will ask u to pay some money so maybe
that was wat applechoice was asking him for!

They might include theirs I dont know.

My Boss paid $CAD1700 for his family's own
(We did it ourself) And he was asked to go write
IELTS exam and submit latest May 17, so
the poster should tell us what they said the money
is meant for. As per the non refundable stuff,
it is a lie as canada will return ur money if ur
form is not complete!

For a travel consultant, you have absolutely no clue how the Canadian Immigration Program works. It's not a lottery, how about that?

Travel agent my backside. .all they do is to charge rediculous amount of money and forge documents

There is no big deal about the Canadian Permanent Immigration.

What exactly do you mean by this??

travelcare:

The canadian Immigration programme is likened to the US Visa lottery programme, the difference is just that lottery is not involved in the Canadian programme.

And this ^ undecided

@Poster, please just go to the website. Everything you need to know is on there, just take your time and read it.

This travel consultant makes me laff tire, grin grin grin I beg if you are applying now under the Federal Skilled Category your best bet is to visit the CIC website :www.cic.gc.ca also all application in this category are to be forwarded to the Central Intake Office in Sydney Canada and NOT Accra Ghana,
Re: Canada federal skilled workersProgram, by travelcare: 1:09pm On Apr 01, 2010
Yes! Application for permanent residence under the federal skilled workers programme will now be directed to the central intake office effective from April 1st 2010. However, this does not mean that the Accra office has been written off on the issue. Moreover, the poster did not state which programme he is going for, the Accra office still handles the skilled worker application and other permanent migrant application, (the Provincial Norminee and the Quebec selection). It is the nearest Canadian High Commission empowered handle applications from Nigeria.

However, I dont know if this forum is for joke cracking and mockery, this is a section where potential travlers can get direct or indirect information to their travel needs. Some 'busy-body' posters only take their time to preach nonsense and sometimes mislead people with their baselss and meaningless posters. Even when you go to websites (which does not all the time answer questions), you still need to ask people around you who have little or abundant knowledge about what you need. Even when all the information you need are on the site, you'll still ask questions.

Those who dont have work here should get engaged on a better job.

Dude if truly you are a travel consultant you really do need to educate yourself, the Central Intake Office has been receiving application on Federal Skilled category for more than 1 year now!

Secondly, you need to realise that the CIC website unlike many other immigration website is very simple and easy to understand, if you compare the CIC website with the Australian website (www.immi.gov.au) you'll definitle agree with me that its quite simpler.

As far as I believe any one who believes that he's qualify to apply under the skilled category must have reasonable skill level that will enable him read and understand this website, although ppl ran into few itches but starting a simple thread on http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/skilled-worker-professional-immigration-b4.0/
will solve the problem.
There's absolutely no need for anyone to employ a consultant at least not your own type who is obvioulsy lacking in up to date information about what you claim to specialise in.

@Suxes,

Kindly inform me about how your boss filled the Application for Residence Form, the Details of Family Members page. I understand you are expected to fill every member of your family whether accompanying you to Canada or not.

Did your boss add details of his/her parents, siblings or something? I am asking cos if a single person is filling the form, is he/she expected to fill in the details of their parents and siblings? Since if you ever want to bring them over to Canada, they first go back to your form and see what you put down there intially.

Hi every one , i am a newly registered member of Nairaland. I have read all postings on this wall and most of it are confusing. firstly i have put in my application for the federal skilled worker in Accra and the process so far is as below
An initial application form was sent to Nova scotia
Application was reviewed and eligibility confirmed
Documents were requested for and must be submitted within 120 days
I had to seat for the IELTS, The reult of which was included as part of the documents sent to Accra last week
The Result of my test- Reading 7, Writing 7, Listening 8.5, Speaking 7.
If you need more details,I will not hesitate to to respond.
Re: Canada federal skilled workersProgram, by flushmedic: 4:46pm On May 21, 2010
@loyer,

like i said earlier i used an immigration lawyer, the initial payment of the application fee to Novascotia was paid through him.The application was sent on the 30th of December, and i was asked to send the documents by 22nd of feb. the documents is to get to them within 120 from this day.
Indeed it is possible to apply without a lawyer, I personally felt more comfortably going through one Cheers.
Re: Canada federal skilled workersProgram, by ajison3: 9:32am On Jun 04, 2010
abeg , which one is correct first submitting the application without payment and relevant documents or submitting the applications with documents and payments.

Rgds
Re: Canada federal skilled workersProgram, by flushmedic: 10:04pm On Jun 04, 2010
The initial application to Nova scotia is with the application fee.You do not have to sent documents at this stage. This will be requested forwhen your application as been approved and your file transfered to your local visa office

Flushmedic,
the immigration lawyer u used, where is he/she based? Am thinking of using a lawyer too, Pple may say,its a stuff u can do on ur own.to tell u the truth man i dont hv that strength to start asking so many questions or cracking my head to read and read again, besides Using agents (travel and Education) agents has worked for me, (frm n9ja to Poland to Usa), and time is of the essence.
men abeg find time reply me on my email i alrdy found 1  agent in Toronto, and am still contemplating on going to see the lawyer one on one b4 i start any moves.I prefer tested lawyers(if ever am going to use one).

So pls i"ll expect ur mail,
