borderline: borderline, you said it all. Satellites between 60W to 72E are over Nigeria horizon, that is they are trackable. But being trackable is subject to the presence of footprint over africa or sub-saharan part of africa. Even if w3a at 7E doesnt have any TP that is covering nigeria or whole of africa, it will definitely be useless despite the fact its covering our horizon. |

@all. Here is a simple trick for searching DSTV and Canalsat transponders. You don't need to input the transponders one after the other or blindscan. All you need is to input one of the active transponders,set your network search to ON and press OK. The receiver will search out the remaining transponders. Try it and see. |

@olatufu et al the title of this thread is latest transponder news for Africa, Please lets stay on course. try using a fuji llnb at 7pm drawn all the way out with 10796 to track hotbird, it's about 1 inch from the dstv position marked on a 3m pole. |

What a strange scenrio on this freq 11.716v 3141sr, i got tbc kenya using my 4669x, then on the same freq while using 4663x a reverse was the case, ntv uganda, and at no time did i get the 2 channel s in the same decoder, is this normal or strange, oga george d and oga olofofo this one pass me ooo, The bird is eutelsat w4/w7 |

@freshp. It is quite strange. I have discovered that the channel you get (NTVU or TBC1) is a function of the signal quality of NTVK transponder. At the highest SQ, TBC1 displaces NTVU and vice versa. I believe there is a problem with the uplink. |
