Frank Lampard had done it again with his 4 goals against Aston Villa yesterday. He has been the most consistent midfielder in the English Premier League for the past 6 seasons or more averaging an average of 20 goals per season He is the 3rd all time highest goal scorer of Chelsea after scoring 151 goals . Other than goals his assist his magnificent, work rate close to 100%. He attacks, he defends. This season by far hasn't been his best with Chelsea because of the formation and all but we all saw him back to his marauding best yesterday when the formation was suited to his style. He is already 32 and still plays with such consistency and rarely picks up injuries. He might not have been able to replicate the same vein of consistency with England but he is always played out of position in the English set up to accommodate the likes of Stevie G who most people will say is a better player than Lampard.

Now the question at hand IS FRANK LAMPARD WORLD CLASS? can you mention Frank's name in the same breath as RONALDO, XAVI, RONALDINHO (In his Prime), INIESTA, MESSI, ZIDANE, C.RONALDO etc. Class doesn't have any thing to do with the position the player plays. Class is class whether you are an attacker or a goalie.

Before y'all start going for the jugular, please put a definition of what the term WORLD CLASS means to you, then state your reasons for supporting and opposing. Also remeber this is 6th season at such a tremendous level. So please don't be comparing him to any one hit wonders

I think he is a WORLD CLASS PLAYER. He might not be able to dribble the whole defense, but his passes are always on point, he scores like an attacker, and if CHELSEA decides to offload him today he will walk in straight into the midfield of all the top teams in the world maybe except Barcelona (Even almighty Barca with their balance in midfield will find a way to use him even if it means changing there formation). He might go missing in some games but heck which player doesn't go missing in some games?

His record in the previous seasons suggest so and even at 32, his fitness is exceptional.

SAF( a good reader of fine players) had this to say about him. . .

When a manager of a rival club says this about a player, then it's fair to conclude Lampard is one of the best midfielders in Europe.
He is sheer quality and he doesn't miss many games.

what a question! without a doubt this fella is both a world class player and a model professional. he was 1st runner for world best player like three/four seasons ago so that says it all

He is a fantastic footballer.His goal scoring record is one that even some of the top strikers of today would dream to have.At 32,i doubt if there are many midfielders playing at such consistent level wiv a lot of goals.

Nuff said then. I think this is not a contest. I hope he gets @ least 3 more years of such consistency then he can be revered like Giggs.
