Is WES now evaluating those as a professional degree?
kunmi5:
Your age is a very good advantage.
Your 5year experience is also good with high point.
WES for your LLB/BL id cool.

The real issue is your IELTS. This present score cannot give you a high aggregate score. Aim for @least 8 in Listening and 7.5 in Speaking, 7 in Reading/Writing, with such score it gives you a CLB level of 9 which can shoot your score to about 465 from your 401.
Dont be discouraged, It can be tiring, I scored low @ first, gave myself a break of 2years before re-writing this year & made it in my 3rd attempt. It is possible.

Re-write IELTS soon. The older you get, the less your overall CRS

Hello Friends,
Its my first post here and I am hoping someone will be kind enough to provide guidance.
I want to find out if WES evaluates ICAN certification.
If yes, what is the equivalent?
Kindly advise.

Please claim the one that is the truth. The truth is easier to back up. I have heard of different questions being raised by CIC, those people are not joking.

You will be fine with self employed and the documents that Flaj showed as long as you can find a matching NOC for your work.

Flaj:

To claim self employed you'll need to show recommendation letter from clients, CAC registration, income evidence, tax clearance, reference letters from clients, bank statement showing payments from clients, contract agreements. If you have it you're fine.
If you claim employee, your employer will provide a reference letter, but you will have to show evidence of salary payments in your bank account statement.

Inspiring. Word of the day ( keep on Keeping on )

Nozzle:
Hello my ppl,
Let me share my story to encourage somebody.
ITA July 11
AOR Aug 5
Medicals passed Aug 18
IPI Aug 19
Aug 26 daughter was born kiss
ADR sept 5 schedule A submitted
Sept 18 added daughter plus her medicals

I was on IP1 till Dec 6th!!! By October 11, I got gcms notes and found that I had issues with my pof. I submitted two bank statements and a bank reference. My dorm account in dollars had 95% of the funds and my savings with d rest 5%. According to d gcms note all the funds they saw was $4,515 which obviously didn't meet the threshold for a family of 3. Actually the bulk of the money $16k was in my dorm which they had erroneously skipped. So they only checked my savings and converted to get $4,515. I was devastated. I got a few advice from my good ppl here, sent them couple of mails and raised several CSE. Re-scanned all statements and sent to them. They didnt respond!. I couldn't print new statement cos i had actually used part money for some things. They totally ignored all the mails, and probably dumped my case as its a dead-end.
On dec 6th, I woke up to a letter of refusal! The worst has finally happened. It was the same reason - insufficient funds. You can imagine the traumatic experience. However I braced up myself, decided to write again. But this time it was going to be with some fury! I was so irate. I explained how unfair the system is and sent all the statements again. The fault was clearly from them and not mine. You missed out on my major account details and you got me disqualified for no fault of mine.
Dec 7th, I started another application. Got 451 and entered the pool again to start the process all over cry To be truthful I actually gave up, but my wife insisted we do it again. She encouraged me to start all over. God bless her.
Dec 14th, I got an email like an update on the rejected application. When I logged into my app, I noticed my refusal has been reversed. My old application is now back online. I cudnt contain my joy and up till now that I write, it looks and feels like a dream. I stared at d app profile for hours to see If it is really true or if anything would change. So all the mails I sent and my CSE i raised finally paid off at last. Just this morning my app moved to NA2 and immediately i got a mail to pay our rprf. Right now I have an app that's close to ppr and another in the pool waiting for ITA. I wish I can transfer that to someone. God is good. Lots of lessons to learn;

Don't risk touching ur pof o. Anything can happen, u may need to send a fresh statement or reference showing current balances, you just never know.
Finally, never say never, if u want something desperately enof u will get it.

God is indeed great.

Thanks to u all for ur insightful advices. Before I over celebrate pls does rprf request mean PPR is near

Good morning everyone. I am new on this page. i would like guidance on an issue.

I was browsing last night and stumbled across EE profile issues with relatives living in canada.
I used my aunt living in canada on my application. When i was post ITA, i asked her for the pr docs, she told me her pr card wasnt ready yet and gave me some docs like work permit.

I had enough points to begin with, but put my relatives in anyway for the EE profile. I already met the points threshold and CRS points (Even though me putting her didnt make me earn points anyway).
I have been in IP1 for about a month now.

Could it be that adding her might be the issue now?.

kindly advise on the way forward.

Please seniors I still need your help on this. I dey prostrate for una

Omomabo:
Hi all! Please ur help is needed. I'm actually asking for a friend. He has 2 yrs experience as a Value Chain Officer in a bank where he acts as a liaison between the market facing team and big telecommunications and cement firms to exploit the value chain opportunities in their processes. Pre-ITA he selected NOC 6235. However when he got his reference letter this was what was stated.

Job title: Collections and Value Chain Officer

1. Attending joint marketing calls with marketers
2. Signing on new Mandates for the bank to be a participating bank in relevant schemes by Telecommunication, Sugar, Flour and cement companies
3. Provide relevant background information, market intelligence and relevant government policy analysis to aid market facing team
4. Provide input into development of products that have high value proposition and unique market differentiation
5. Review existing products for continuous development
6. Regularly monitor performance of market facing units in the respective products in line with set targets

With this I am not sure 6235 still suffices. We have gone through the NOC codes and can't find which to use and we sent a mail to the NOC email but they gave us a standard response.

Please seniors in the house kindly help

Hmmmm.....in my experience....you do not just request for reference, you sit, look at the NOC and compose your own job description in a way that it matches the NOC because you may actually be doing everything on the NOC but the 'official' JD does not sound like it. The way forward may be to go back to the drawing board and re-draft the job description and ask HR to provide his reference in that way, as long as he does everything he lists....

In my experience, most bank HRs issue what you want written. The worst they can say is 'no' anyway. I have seen at least 5 banks do that. The key is for the job roles on your reference to be written 'in your own words'.

I hope this helps.

Hello seniors in the house,

Just aced my IELTS LRWS 9,9,7.5,7.5. I have HND and PGD but M.Sc will only be ready in July of 2018

My question now is do i evaluate my PGD and HND as two different degrees or wait to complete my M.Sc next year before evaluation and joining the pool. I also like to know if professional certification like PMP counts/carries point and should be evaluated.

Thank you.

Which one is 'cheat code'? Is it impossible to believe that he has a very good grasp of English Language ? Why must it be a 'cheat code'?

At the risk of being quarrelsome, I think I just have a problem with the word 'cheat'.

Oga , please help Talkingboy with tips on how to get a good score.

People wrote some tips in response to Sleekchic (not sure of moniker) a few pages back. In addition, make sure your mind is not wondering.

Also, in the Listening section, they sometimes confront you with the wrong answer before they now say what the correct answer is, especially in the phone call part.

Another challenging aspect may be the maps, you need to pay a lot of attention here and follow the directions with your pen as you are hearing the tape recording.

N.B : Try and be writing out all your sentences in full without abbreviations so that you do not lapse into the familiar habit in your writing section.

All the best.
