That the elective convention of the most vibrant and most-intellectuals-populated opposition party in Nigeria today ; The People's Democratic Party is holding today the 9th of December 2017 is no longer news.
I decided to create this thread to commend them because as a party,it's mostly at elective conventions that party members tell themselves the truth, battle for party offices etc. This exercise alone can cause serious rifts that may harm a party if not we'll managed or indeed make the party stronger if well managed. This is the reason some political parties, made up of largely dubious characters who know that they are largely hypocrites and pretentious strange bedfellows are always scared stiff whenever anybody suggests that they organize an elective convention.A case in point is the All Progressives(??.) Congress APC
That's why it's laughable to see officials, agents and sympathizer of the APC who are currently fixated on the PDP national elective convention, they have taken to the social and print media (The Nation newspapers) to spread false alarming news pertaining to the PDP convention whereas THEY HAVE TOTALLY REFUSED to organize theirs as it is a well considered fact that the day APC dares to organize an elective convention ( which they are likely to carry out in their usual fraudulent way) that day will mark the beginning of the end of the APC and will open the flood gate of people decamping from the party
So in the light of the above, the PDP should be commended for this and one can only hope that the party comes out from this stronger and better United to give Nigerians a very formidable voice of opposition to checkmate the excesses of this lying and failed APC government of Munamadu Buhari that has brought untold hardship to Nigerians.
God bless Nigeria and God bless the Nigerian masses

APC are inexperienced in politics.

APC will be conducting two conventions (elective congress and National convention) within a single year, a campaign year for that matter.

The elective congress will likely be around March, giving PDP's new leadership enough time to consolidate their position and woo more members into their fold.

While Atiku will be selling himself, APC will be planning for an elective convention. By the time the new APC leadership will be fully settled for work and start reconciling aggrieved members, APC might have lost good supports to PDP.

Immediately again, the party will start planning for another National Convention. With little time to spare, the new leadership will conduct a hurried convention.

They don't know they are only postponing the evil day by running away from the facts ever since
