importing everything is a good idea...things are cheaper to produce abroad, but it can backfaire too....only the importers will be employed... the rest will get nothing...we used sooo long to destroy local production...so teyy you have to teach nigerians again how to produce things theirselfs...if una loose una patience then una will return back to what una had before....goverment employing everybody... thats not gonna work...nigeria is not that rich to play saudi arabia.... 1 Like 1 Share |

tsdarkside: Our over reliance on importation really affected our local production, manufacturing, agriculture & made industries moribund. No country develops with so much importation, hence we need to encourage/support local production. Happy Sunday all. 1 Like 1 Share |

tsdarkside: Tdarkside I am all about good governance , have u seen me criticise Ambode before? The truth is that you are the one that cares about yourself only and thats why you want such a bad leadership to continue just because od your personal gains ...If i was self centred I would never have camapigned against Jonathan because inder his govt my business flourished like no man s business but despite that when he couldnt stem wide corruption I had no choice but to start speaking up against him ..BUHARI is delivering the worst leadership on earyh today and it best he goes so Nigeria can have purpose 1 Like |

Hizzy:Stop advertising your lack of education here. Is Buhari the one that decided to stop buying Nigeria's oil by 2015? That was when people like us knew recession was coming- when the US made that announcement in 2014. Of course there is so much Buhari and past administrations would have done to avert such unnecessary recession. But what matters is that something is now being done to correct it. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nightwolf1:2 bags of rice were delivered to me from Abakaliki at 11K each. Husk free, stone free, fresh and purely organic. Keep wasting your money consuming poison in the name of foreign rice; like the ones I saw being off loaded from cement carrying Dangote truck last Wednesday at Mile 3 market. These are discarded grains that have stayed for months and even years in horrible unhygienic conditions before getting to our market. Apart from the unhealthy nature of these imported rice, have you asked yourself what it cost Nigeria to import those rice you bought at one naira. You wasted your foreign exchange importing rice that we can produce here in Nigeria, thereby hurting our economy while boosting that of other countries as well as creating jobs for their citizens while ours remain unemployed. But you know what, local rice production has skyrocketed and keeps doing so. People are making money from rice production; you can go and see what is happening in Ebonyi state. Also there has been a drastic decline in rice importation. For people like you who still prefer the imported rice, no wahala just pay whatever you're asked to pay and don't come here to claim that the price has not depreciated after all imported rice is contraband. Nigeria's case would have been like that of Venezuela (where in the quest for popularity, their president became a father Christmas just like our Jonathan) now but thank God, the waste is being tackled as people are now looking inwards. Of course this comes with some pains but that is the sacrifice we must make for better tomorrow, something we would have done way back. It can only get better. God bless Nigeria. |

GavelSlam: Govts since 1914 has been borrowing money, that is one way of keeping the financial sector going. This present govt has equally borrowed ₦8 trillion in less than 3yrs. The America govt is still borrowing till tomorrow and they spend it on wages. That a govt borrows does not mean your economy is in a recession, govt borrowing and recession are two different things. |
