In any sane and developed society, the governor would have had to explain who is footing the bill of his generosity.
If its personal money then good for him, we just need to know that an individual can't dip his hand into the till whenever he feels like it.

No I will not take it like that! So if Rochas should spend his personal money to buy a car it should be investigated cos he's governor If Rochas buys a plot of land it should be red flagged cos he's governor? It's only if he spends money obviously above his income or financial status he should be investigated. N500,000 shouldn't be a cause for worry for someone of his financial status. Let's learn to ignore frivolities and save our strength for tougher battles that deserve our attention.
