Should you even celebrate anything at all if you don't believe in religion? Should you even call it CHRIST-mas? Because as we all know, Christmas represents Christ...yes, it's possible Christ wasn't born around this time, but the whole celebration is still related to Christianity. I'm non believer but don't identify myself as Atheists. Jesus was a real person and existed, but what some ppl don't believe is his claim.

I'm from Ethiopia and our Christmas is in Tahsas 29 (January 7). My parents are socialist and don't believe in God, but we celebrate Christmas, Easter and some other Christian festivals because this festivals have been embedded in our culture for 1450 years. Other non believers who celebrate might be because of this also or other reasons. I sometimes go to church and bow and pray for something I don't believe lol.

My answer to the thread is that we celebrate Christmas, but we understand it differently. It is a time at the end of the year when we get to meet with the friends and family members and lovers that we don’t usually get to meet, and have a good time with them. It’s the end of year holiday. That’s all.
