Hehehehehehehe cheesy

Very serious o

That's how my bestie, a guy I met four years ago at my Estate. My kind of spec.

Babe! I was struck in love. He's huge, athletic, dark and comfortable, a model with strings of businesses here and there . Hes young too. I thought he's the one. So we got chatting one day,i was trying to reverse my new car at the car wash but I wasn't really good in reversing. That's how this cute guy walked up to me and was like he could help me reverse the car. I gave him the keys and he reversed and park it well at the car wash. Since that day we got friendly but lo and behold he's already hooked by another lady, who quickly got pregnant for him and hes about paying her bride price. I was like chai! My spec has slipped my hands but God why cry
Anyways we became best of friends and I had to fight off my feelings for him.

Until I met my fiance, who looks similar to him but my man is fair. The same height, the same facial features but a soft version of my bestie. My dear, as my fiance woo me. When we are about to get close, I didn't waste time at all. No babe will snatch this one from me again O.. I can't shout! grin

And thank God am fast this time. Lol. cheesy and the feelings is mutual. Thank God.

But seriously,

If a guy is the real deal He won't have issues with babes wanting him for keeps.

This is practically the first sentence on Wikipedia on MGTOW.
Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW /ˈmɪɡtaʊ/) is a mostly pseudonymous online community supported by websites and social media presences cautioning men against serious romantic relationships with women, especially marriage
Keyword is "serious."

Lol. Just seeing this. I follow the MGTOW dot com forum. It's very funny.

I usually have a list of websites or posts that I bookmark. I catch up when stuck in traffic, in a waiting room or a boring meeting. I've going on there regularly for the past six months.

I've learnt so much about the average man in America and how they deal with modern women, single moms and balancing every other thing in life.

Yea, it can be a struggle for a guy over there.

Especially if you're a conservative. Even the moderate liberals are not having it smoothly.

Historically, much of these social changes are usually gradual, with plateaus were people adjust. Now, thanks to the quick spread of information, it's just a flurry of movements and upheavals that can be overwhelming. Unfortunately, a lot of the proponents don't care nor want to care about the speed at which all of this is happening.

Today, you can't even catch a door for a lady without being called a chauvinist or a sexist. Have an argument in a family, and it's the guy who has to go sleep on a couch or leave the house. No body has a problem with 70+% of pediatricians being female, but heaven forbids, it's the same with tech; then there has to be parity. A woman cuts a man while he's talking in an argument in the workplace, it's fair game; a man does the same, and it's interpreted as you're belittling her or trying to drown her voice. Try to explain things in simple terms to a man, no one cares; do same to a woman, it's called mansplaining.

You could literally write an encyclopedia to chronicle all of it.

Now, I'm big on gender equality. I am as supportive for equal pay as the most liberal guy out there. And yea, I agree there is such a thing as "male privilege," most of which guys have taken for granted.

But I don't think many people understand just how drastic these changes are on a macroscopic level; how difficult it can be for conservative men to adjust; how some of it is hypocritical; and how a lot of it is open to abuse. The same lady who'd have a problem with me holding the door for her, wouldn't have a problem with me handing her a coat on a cold winter night, or shielding her if some gun-wielding maniac is on the prowl, or having to give up my chance of survival for her if some cataclysmic event occurs because somewhere in the UN charter women gets to safety first before men.

It's why I'm sympathetic to the MGTOW movement, same way I'm sympathetic to the LGBTQ+ cause. I really hate it when people have reasonable concerns, and they're brushed aside without taking those concerns into consideration.

America has been a mad house since the turn of century. But the last 10 years has been something else. It's like everyone is screaming at the top of their voices and no one is listening. Since the dawn of time, the liberals have been the voice of reason, helping the conservatives (those who still believe strongly in the old ways) to understand why they've to change and all that it entails. Today, the liberals just want the shortcut. If s/he doesn't agree with you, make up a name for him/her, deride him/her, then magically expect that s/he would be bullied into agreeing with you.

First of all, I hope you know the wage gap theory is a myth?

Secondly, conservatives have been the voice of reason in my opinion. Liberals want to make everyone happy which is impossible. They aren't as progressive and tolerant as they woukd like to portray. I will give three examples why:
i. They would like to force Christian baker's to bake cakes for homosexuals when these baker's clearly don't want to. I think baker's shouldn't be forced to.

ii. They love Affirmative Action like flies love poop. Anybody who values equality cannot, at the same time, support quota disbursement. That is literally, the very definition of inequality.

iii. They generally do not see any wrong in being racist to white people. Because of the so-called white privilege bullshit talk.

Thirdly, as a male, what privileges would you like to give up to be considered equal with women? What privileges do men have that you would like women to also have? Is it possible that women also have some privilege that men don't have and as such could be grounds for considering that there's, in fact, a balance between the sexes?

I don't think the wage gap theory is a myth.

In general, I happen to be sympathetic about many of the things liberals stand for. I don't even identify as a conservative. I'm more of a centrist. I hold every subject to scrutiny; nothing gets a free pass. I'm all for legalizing gay marriage, but I'll choose capitalism over socialism any day of the week.

In fact, many conservatives are sympathetic to some of the things liberals stand for. If that wasn't the case, slavery would still be practiced, secularism wouldn't be a thing, and racism wouldn't be frowned upon.

The biggest issue I have with liberals is that many (which sometimes feel like most) liberals have very little tolerance for opposing views. This is very unlike what liberalism is all about. Liberalism has always been about free speech and open debate.

It was Voltaire who said:

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

Of course, the lack of tolerance is evident on both sides. Pro-life health workers receive death threats in the US, especially in the red states. In the same way that Antifa has been unruly and violent.

But there seems to be an unwritten rule among the Liberals--the so-called bastion of diversity and tolerance--to put some issues above intellectual discourse. To put it bluntly, they may support diversity, as long as it is not intellectual diversity. And it is deeply hypocritical from a fundamental point of view.

I firmly believe that if you think your opinion is the correct one, you should be able to argue your case. I'm against death penalty, but that's not to say people who approve of it don't have a point.

If I meet a White Supremacist who thinks as a black African, I'm inferior to him, I'd only need 10 minutes to set the record straight and make him realize I'm just as smart (if not smarter) than he is. And I can assure you, I wouldn't have to call him a racist. William Wilberforce didn't call the British Parliament he was addressing racists to campaign for abolition. He made an argument firmly rooted in facts, virtues, and values his fellow whites could agree with.

Today, when some guy is skeptical about the influx of immigrants, it's easier for a liberal to just call him a deplorable, red-neck, uneducated supremacist than pose a superior argument. That's my main grouse. They've become so comfortable with the use of labels, such that they use it to mask their intellectual deficiencies much of the time.

It's infuriating, despicable, and appalling. To think that conservatives are the ones calling for free speech and a ban on censorship has to be an ethical blow to self-acclaimed "liberals".

The very definition of liberal is

willing to respect or accept behaviour or opinions different from one's own

A lot of them aren't liberals, they're just leftists.

The wage gap, according to liberals or feminists or those who advocate for it to close is actually an earnings gap. What they do is get the average earnings of men and of women and then say there is a pay discrepancy for the same job which is actually fraudulent. Yes, on avearge, men earn morw than women but not for the same job. Men just generally work jobs that pay higher due for reasons like being bigger risk takers or studying courses in colleges that pay higher in the labour force. You can research on the subject to find out more.

I'm not in support of gay marriage, though I don't begrudge homosexuals their proclivities. However, it turns out even the LGBTQ community are not as tolerant of opposing views as they woukd like others to be of theirs. Note again, I don't hate gays, I don't even dislike them, just their orientation.

I think you mean ProChoice(for abortion), not ProLife(against abortion). If that's not the case, I'm a bit confused. However, if it is, I agree there will be assholes on any side. No movement is immune to idiots. As such, I won't judge a group based on a few fringe elements. I will only generalise when a huge group of them are idiots or a huge group endorses the despicable actions of the few idiots among them.

I also think you're more favourably disposed to the liberal side of American politics and media who have done all to paint any conservative as racist when, in fact, this isn't so. There are racists on all sides. Conservative generally just don't give a heck about any other individual but their lone selves which they have a right to. They have no obligations to be nice to anybody else but themselves. As an intelligent fellow, I'm sure you'd appreciate and even tow the conservative point of view if you understood their motivations. They, from my observation, tend to be less emotional and impulsive than liberals. I'm more centrist as well but, lean towards conservatism. Most of the loudest sections of American media is liberal, thus, public discussion is naturally going to have a liberal bias.

Liberals have grown arrogant to the level that they believe any other opinion different from theirs is that of an slowpoke, which is a major reason Trump won. Of course, noone is infallible and you risk alienating a section of the populace when you disregard their views and even has od their very existence in contempt.

I would also add that I don't find it infuriating that conservative voices are loudest in the call for the respect of free speech, it is a pattern that has played itself out over and over in American politics. Democrats started the KKK and Truman, Dem President, was a member. grin. The Civil Rights act was signed by a Democrat president who staunchly signed it into law because Republicans doggedly fought for it and he had no choice but to acquiesce. Democrats instated Jim Crow. The list goes on.

But Dems have convinced America that Conservative are racist because they are averse to tax raises to fund Welfare which, by the way, is a Dem(Lyndon Johnson) policy. But why should anybody want to have his hard-earned pay deducted to fund lazy people, not to say everyone on welfare is lazy.

From research, conservatives tend more to reason, equality and egalitarianism than liberals. A common argument on the liberal side in the run up to last year's elections was that Trump shouldn't deport Mexicans because then Americans would earn higher and the cost of such products would increase. These are the same people who wanted Sanders to win so he could raise and enforce minimum wage. But where would employers get the money to fund this minimum wage? China? Most liberals are socialists at heart and really don't know how to balance accounts from the way they speak. A major weakness of this argument of theirs is that these Mexicans were earning less than the minimum wage grin. Like someone said, "liberals love their slave labour".

I could go on and on.

I could go on and on.

Yea, I meant pro-choice. Made a mistake.

I think we're saying the same thing.

Liberals often have a fluffy pie-in-the-sky utopian dream. Conservatives are more grounded, pragmatic, and egalitarian.

For the same job, men do typically earn higher than women. In some jobs, the difference is not much, in some others it is. And it's down to a number of factors, many of which are hotly debated. That's why I think it's a conversation worth debating, and I'm on the equal pay side of things. By this, I mean, I don't enter a blanket denial mode and pretend there's no inequality in pay. There is inequality, where we all have a problem is how wide the gap is and what we have to do to close the gap.

That said, I'm not saying campaigners don't misrepresent and cherry-pick facts, I'm only saying it's a conversation that keeps everyone on their toes to ensure that whatever gap exists (whether in reality or in the mind) closes up sooner than later.

The gap used to be much higher across the board, now it's all muddled up. It didn't just close itself, did it? Someone called attention to it.

I won't really go into each issue to debate the conservative versus liberal opinion. But you seem to hold the notion that the Dems were always liberal. They weren't. Lincoln was a republican. This is why I only refer to conservatives and liberals, not the parties that have what population, as that's likely to change in the future as it did in the past. The parties are just politics. They'd do anything to hold unto power including switching ideologies if they could. Whenever America veers in one direction, the opposition veers in the other direction.

And that's why I said I'm infuriated that the conservatives are the ones championing for free speech. Historically, it used to be the liberals. Liberals used to be in the Republican party. Everything is hate speech, it all depends on interpretation.

Maybe some of it has to be the contempt for the South by the North in America. I don't know, maybe it plays a role. But liberals today irk me, and the media irk me even more.

It's why I rooted for Trump. I disagree with 85+% of what he believes in, from his position on abortion to climate change denial. And yea, I know he's just another politician and a grade A+ shady businessman. But 2016 felt like the Libs wanted to snuff the voice out of the conservatives, and that scared me more than the fact that Trump would be the POTUS.

It doesn't seem like they've learned their lessons anyway. Despite only winning the popular vote by 3m, it seems like they still believe all of America is blue, and they ain't ready to accept that anyone else has legitimate concerns. So, they keep lashing out, from the failed #notmypresident campaign, to the Comey testimoney that they thought was a smoking gun, to the anti travel ban campaign that's since been squashed by the Supreme Court to the failing calls for impeachment. They'd have their a$$ handed to them before they can learn to tolerate the views of others, and I hope Trump hands it to them repeatedly.

Maybe when they've lost enough, they'd become humble and start encouraging intellectual discourse rather than dismissing it.

-Lord

Sigh. It's a tough world.

Yeah, the changes can be so overwhelming...just about anybody can make up spurious claim, to trend or whatnot, and the reactions would leave you mouth agape.

Women say men should suck it up like they did for ages. Funny, they want the perks now and double with the gains of the old ways.

See a young man struggle to achieve a thing and then a model struts in, after few minutes/days/years of encounter, all of the man's hard work is washed away one way or the other. The bad thing is that it is hard to make a comeback. ONE slip and you are buried!

Bringing it back home, there was this voice of change but it seems the pace now would take several decades. When will these sweeping changes come to Nigeria, and Africa as a whole?

See a young man struggle to achieve a thing and then a model struts in, after few minutes/days/years of encounter, all of the man's hard work is washed away one way or the other. The bad thing is that it is hard to make a comeback. ONE slip and you are buried!

Bringing it back home, there was this voice of change but it seems the pace now would take several decades. When will these sweeping changes come to Nigeria, and Africa as a whole?

I think we've got bigger issues to worry about.

Third world problems.

From research, the only women who earn less than men for the same job are women who have been on sabbatical, usually for child beating purposes. At that point, male colleagues they started with have gone further than they. Or women who negotiated a rate lower than what their male colleagues negotiated. On average, men negotiate wages better than women. Asides that, there really is no reason to pay men more than women; employers would then love to play women since it's cheaper to do so. Even in a third world hellhile like Nigeria, women don't get paid less. I would need to see cold, hard facts to accept that there's a pay gap due to misogyny(I see no other reason why a woman should be paid less). In a place like the western world, it would be interesting to see how an employer would discriminate wage payment based on gender. It is a crime in most of the he west to even do so. I assume business owners wouldn't want a lawsuit on their hands.

Thank for the lesson on the Liberal/Conservative-Democrat/Republican dichotomy. And yeah, liberals really haven't done their faction much good; and it's basically the same for liberals the world over. I think the Liberal faction in America need someone to wrest the followers from their current leaders in their party and the media, anything short of that will see them continue to fail.

I actually do like Trump a lot. He's given American values a chance for a comeback, especially after globalist puppeteering these past decades. The economy is doing better despite the media laughing at his predictions of just that; I read somewhere(think the Economist or Wall Street Journal) there's already an almost 3.5% boost, which is what he predicted. For all his faults, he seems to know what he's doing and he did come in with a plan. While, the other side is chasing shadows and barking at phantoms, the dude is busy doing what he said he would do if elected. I'm sure hes for his own selfish motivations like every other human but so far I'll rate him highly.

By the way, more and more info keeps coming out per the investigative team on the Trump-Russia collusion debacle. The team is being whittled away as news of their bias against Trump and clear supprofpr Hillary is exposed. Ironically, thing is the media is calling it obstruction of justice. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

To your first paragraph, it's a research in sociology; it's always hard to narrow it down to a certain row of factors. Because of how it all intertwines. And that's why I said, I'm all for the conversation to stay open for input. We need more research to better isolate the causative factors and better explain the observations. That's the only way to get the equal pay issue sorted out.

Read about maternity/paternity leave in Iceland, and notice how it helped closed an already diminutive wage gap.

If you don't encourage more discourse and research, those with an agenda would just get on with spouting half-truths and misrepresenting stats. For example, the wage gap in Northern Ireland is negative (women earn more than men across the board). That doesn't tell the whole story, but you don't see gender parity campaigners making a meal out of it.

To your question for an instance of wage gap for the same job, check out the BBC pay gap https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/830631/Theresa-May-BBC-pay-gap-gender-row-discrimination-equality. Yes, the same left-wing, ultra-liberal BBC.

The Trump debacle is interesting. Many libs thought he wouldn't last this long. With the number of campaign promises he has kept in only 1 year, I don't doubt that he could even get re-elected in 2020. The man is a lunatic and a genius.

I quite agree. More discourse is needed to o get the full truth or something close enough.

I'm rooting for him to have two terms, if for nothing but to drive the smug liberal faction crazy with rage.
