Why before Christmas? Why not mid January when far fewer people are traveling? We just close things anyhow without considering how it affects the country (people, economics, logistics). 2 Likes |

SageTravels: Perfect timing to repair the airport. What have we been doing since the year started? Wait for the busiest season to repair the runaway that was just repaired a few months ago. We have no roads and yet will want to divert traffic to Owerri so that commuters can be mauled by kidnappers or molested by police and SARS virus . Zoo country 2 Likes |

9jakohai: So they couldn't repair the airport from January to November? They couldn't carry out maintenance during the first week of December, they had to wait until now, a week before the festive season kicks off. The FG and the government officials involved in transportation know very well that this time of the year is when travelers travel back home to see their loved ones. So now the travelers would have to go through the following: 1.Arrive in Lagos, bribe their way through airport officials regardless of how innocent they are (we know as e dey go for airport) 2.Embark on a very expensive journey from Lagos to the eastern part of the country, the keyword here is expensive, now the expenses they would incur on this journey would be : A, Having to pay through their nose to buy fuel as a result of the deliberate attempt by the FG to create this dubious "fuels scarcity" situation (another one of the many ways the FG fleece Nigerians of their hard earned cash, for some strange reason it just happens that this whole fuels scarcity situation ALWAYS happens during this time of the year, but thats a topic for another day). B, Having to pay each and every one of the This is a three part racket targeted at the people of eastern Nigeria. 1. The Airport bribes 2. The fake scarcity which would in turn make the travelers pay large sums of money to buy fuel thereby enriching the government officials involved in the petroleum products market 3. The checkpoint / road block bribes which the travelers have no choice but to pay. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Amaechi have carried his wayo to the Aviation ministry. Now, he has used style to divert Enugu Airport traffic to Port Harcourt. See perfect timing, just wen the Enugu Airport was about to get very busy. All the flights with guys and their family, from Asia, Europe and America coming home for Christmas now diverted to Port Harcourt. These APC people really have no shame. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Follysho707: Fool...sorry follysho...why is that a thing of joy for you? That's why we want Biafra..when we will have a befitting Internation airport like other smaller countries like Ghana... Did you see in this pic that Ghana airways is functional while that of the big for nothing Nigeria has since died? With Biafra, airport authority won't wait for the period its citizens are arriving for Christmas to do the repairs... 1 Like

Stingman: Amaechi have miscalculated. Majority of the flights will now be through Lagos. Wat are Igbos coming to Port Harcourt to do? Most have houses or family in Lagos, so they will fly through Lagos. But this is highly unacceptable. Does it mean that Nigeria is totally dependent on Ndiigbo. We cannot have peace for una? Even Christmas Oooo 1 Like |
