In 2017 the Lagos state government celebrated 'Lagos @ 50' even though Lagos as a territory had been for a good number of years before Nigeria became independent. The Lagos government, under the administration of a Yoruba extract Ambode did not deem it right to celebrate the state above the country in which the state is. Someone with better understanding, should explain why Kaduna state under a Fulani led government would celebrate the time the state spent as a colonial provincial capital in it so-called 100years of existence. When neither Enugu or Lagos could do that. |
