Few weeks ago, Police Men from Edo State Command, official of Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development (MWASD) and Jennifer Ero led Child Protection Network, a team on a tip-off went to rescue a little boy who was maltreated and manhandled by the father, Mr. Pius Happy and the step mother Mrs. Alice Pius were latter arrested with the help of Amagba Community leaders and charged to court.

The case between the Commissioner of Police and Defendant, Mr. Pius Happy and his wife, Mrs Alice Pius upon appearance in court was latter taken over by the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) represented by Barr. Adekunbi commenting on reasons why the DPP decided to take over the case.

The new prosecution counsel, Barr. Adekunbi said: "the matter is of public interest hence, the need for the Ministry of Justice to take over and ensure justice for the little baby who is less than three years".

The defence counsel who is a party to the suit however, declined interview.

The little Lucky Pius less than three years old was latter taken to his new home by officials of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development who are in-charge of the custody of the little boy.

The matter was adjourned to 16th of January, 2018, after counsel of the parties in the suit took a new date.

Many Nigerian women as just as wicked as that stepmother,they maltreat everybody that comes their way. no motherly love only on how to dress fine publicly,ride nice cars that they cant maintain or repair themselves and want people to called them madam and Mrs.

The man self is just a disgrace anytime men like that see woman they just lose their sense of reasoning and will just look aside even though the stepmother wanna kill his son,after killing the boy the next thing they shout is satan lead me.

Not every father and mother should be look at as responsible some of them are not fit to train up a child,they just born children so that society will say the woman is not barren or the man dick is not working.

in this country,we just need a cultural revolution and change to progressive mentality.

That boy deserve care,love and pampering.

it is a pity maybe fight for supremacy,jealousy of her not having her own child, seeing the child as a threat in the future.

our women need proper family orientation,i just dont understand why they cant treat other kids as their own.
